Be careful not to over work printers because they can get pretty warm, & warp the internal plastics which mess up the sensors.

what about setting it up? what about duplex printing, what about ink usage, what about the size of the ink tanks, what about........... glqd you like the colour.....

Had mine for 6 months and will have to take it back. It no longer prints properly (no black/yellow). I am not having a good run with HP printers. Gone through 3 in about 12 months and I dont print that much (maybe 5 pages a week ave). Pretty poor build.

BE WARY OF CALIBRATION OPTIONS! THIS CAN USE A LOT OF INK, & PRINT OUT REPORTS ON INK CARTRIDGES THAT CAN EXCEED £40 FOR A SET OF 4 IS EXPENSIVE!

Photo quality on this printed is pretty good. It isn't the best out there, seeing as for how cheap its price tag is, but it certainly isn't the worst either.

It will work for awhile and after that so long. Check out Amazon for customer opinions about this printer as well as the others HP 5500 series. They have more negative reviews than good ones. I done some research on printers since I was "forced" to buy a new one and Espon XP 400 (or any XP series) is pretty cool & Kodaks have good ratings. Check out Amazon for customers' review & ask around is the best advice that I could come up with. Hope that I was helpful.

How do you find the espon XP printer? I'm thinking of buying a all-in-one printer. Seems like I have to choose between the Canon pixma MX455, Epson Workforce WF-2530, Epson Home XP 312, HP Officejet 4620 and this one for my price range.

so I have a question? What about the HP 5514, I had this printer over one year (13 mns to be exact) and noticed hat the black ink doesn't work. I have also talked with other HP users and they are having the same issue. Customer service wasn't helpful and didn't received that call back they promised! Any advice??

You didn't answer 1 of my question. The quality of the scanner. I'm going to scan old photos and record them on Blu Ray/CD and want to know if it will justify image quality and color.

MobileCupOfJoe I notice almost all the new HP's nowadays only do 24-bit scan..my old HP F4185 from 2007 can do 48-bit @ 2400x1200 resolution. So are the scans from the new printers at least as good as from those 5 to 7 years ago ?

If your PC has wireless (or WiFi) built into it, then you will be able to print from your PC to your printer if they are in separate rooms.

Doesn't seem to print labels. Really annoying - I just assumed all printers would handle sticky label sheets. Also, it's the most bossy, fussy machine I've ever had to live with. When scanning the default seems to be to pick out all the tiny logos on the source page and select them as separate items to print. Why can't the default just be to print the whole source page?

The printer is absolute horseshit, it sucks up ink like crazy, I install new cartridges for the first time after the sample cartridges was used up (it only lasted a measly few photo prints). I installed them as per the instructional video from HP. It doesn't print properly, the yellow color came out all streaked forcing me to activate clean printhead twice, for some reason, it ate up 1/4 of all my ink. But at least it finally started printing. After the first week of use with the newly equipped cartridges (about 2 dozen photos and maybe 20 word documents and images) I stopped using it for 6 months because i went overseas. Came back, saw that the ink was empty... Really?? I'm not even going to mention the cackling sound it sometimes make when after a print is done.

Stay out of this product....actually, they replaced it after it failed loading paper with huge grinding gears noise, and the new unit started to do the same afer 2 weeks from replacement.....frankly, do not buy it.
