A great review here Tom, and I was thinking of getting this phone for my mother as it will be her first smartphone. She needs a large screen with a good keyboard as her eyes and hands are not quite what they used to be. I have around £100-£150. Would you recommend this phone based on this criteria? Was also considering HTC 7 Motzart, ZTE Tania, Nokia Lumina 710 (all windows based) or the HTC Desire (Android based)

Oh yeah,The texting later on becomes a nightmare.You press a button it will freeze for like 4 secs and then maybe you'll get your letter "g" for example.Oh yeah,sometimes it writes wrong letters.

Here in the Netherlands, this phone costs about €170,- Now I want a new phone (I have a samsung galaxy gio now) and I don't know what's seriously better, this Huawei Ascend G300 or the Nokia Lumia 710. The 710 is about €20 more expensive, but I'm not so sure what will be a better choice for me. I like to browse the web, send some messages and occasionally play a game on my phone, is the Lumia worth the €20 more?

This phone is good for like a year.Then the bugs kick in.Random apps crashing,games start lagging,music player glitching.If you hard reset it.The problems will go away for few days.Save up and get something better.I have to suffer with this phone.Heck,I rather have an old Nokia now.

of course the xperia u is better-it's a sony device it has a dual core better screen and ect but it's 100-150 pounds more so you decide.If you have that kind of money get the xperia U but if you don't need a fast paced phone get the g300

It's too slow it has a messed up connection the battery only lasts 5 minutes and it has a pathetic keaboard and I'm stuck with is for another too years
