Very good review man. May i know if this model or other xp pen/huion pen displays have multitouch feature ? something like using ipad where you cam rotate or zoom the canvas using 2 fingers.
@teohyc6 жыл бұрын
Those pen displays don't support finger gestures. The only one I know of that has that feature is made by Yiynova
@matijasarac94606 жыл бұрын
So, would you be so kind to recommend a good beginner-to-intermediate pen display that would be used mostly for finishing/adjusting t-shirt designs? I assume pen displays work best for this, creating and most of time just applying small changes or tweeks to designs. Price not being an issue.

What are the settings for these colors, cant find it anywhere, my colors are inaccurate, washed off.

Great video, did you switch it on with the screen protector to see if that improved the glare issue?
@teohyc6 жыл бұрын
The matte screen protector should help with glare but it makes the screen less sharp. It's not as good compared to those pen displays that have matte screens instead of using a screen protector

Hey Teoh, can you maybe make a video on tablets with pen, stylus tilt function in the future? ( I mean not only pressure sensitivity but noticeable tilt when you draw also ) Something like list of tablets you know with that function? Also great and helpful video as always. Keep it up, proud of you.
@teohyc6 жыл бұрын
There aren't many non-Wacom pen displays that I know that has tilt sensitivity. The new Parblo Coast 16 should have tilt but I was told by the company that the feature is not available yet with their first version driver.

thank you for the review. how would you compare this to xp-pen's 16 to 20 inch tablets? also, sorry to be off topic but i'm not sure where to ask. i just received my new 1060 plus and it has some extras inside the box including 8 nibs, an extra surface cover, and a glossy white paper with its side sticked to a sticky transparent paper thingy. i have no idea what it is and what it's for. have any ideas?

Does the mini pc works with some of these tablets? If they do, that'd save a lot of cash for something like surface pro or mobilestudio pro as an alternative. It has been on my mind since i saw my friend uses very portable mini pc with an 11inch monitor
@teohyc6 жыл бұрын
Those mini PCs should work. Only issue is whether they are powerful enough to run graphics software without lag.

Other reviewers say there's an issue with color and contrast. Is your unit somehow an upgraded version over other reviewers' GT-191 units?

Not sure about that. I did not notice anything amiss with my unit. Maybe check out more reviews.

The thing that bugs me about all these tablet companies (wacom included) is their naming conventions for their products. Everything is not communicated to consumer very well and they don't always make sense which is why it's hard to keep track of which products are new, old, or in development.
@nakushiro7836 жыл бұрын
Just out of curiosity, how would you name the tablets that are out to make them more informative? (For example, rename Wacom's and Huion's products the way you're saying they should be.) Personally, I don't see a problem with their naming conventions since basically all the specifications are listed in the specs sheet under each product. The only thing that I think is missing from the specs sheet is the tablet release date because you can't tell how old the tablet technology is without that.
@nicolle21266 жыл бұрын
I actually think Wacom did it right before, with something like Bamboo being their entry level, Intuos their artist level, and Cintiq their professional level. Everything was clear and concise. When they changed their entry level to Intuos, their artist level to Intuos pro, and their "everything else" as Bamboo, the brand names cross contaminated each other and the prestige of the Intuos and Bamboo names became muddled imo . It's not too much of a problem if you do your research but that's an extra step consumers are taking before they buy their products. If Huion marketed their names better, like if they were to distinguish the difference between products in the Kamvas line, even by just naming their tablets something like "Huion Kamvas 2" then "Huion Kamvas 3" etc. they could have an iPhone situation where people could easily distinguish the differences between product specs and decide if that's worth the revision. For example maybe you bought a Huion Kamvas 2 and now that the Huion Kamvas 5 is out you'd consider a refresh. Just my two cents though
@nakushiro7836 жыл бұрын
I can completely agree with the stupid naming of the Intuos and Intuos Pro because I always hear people saying "I have the Intuos, and it's fantastic!" and they're always talking about the Intuos Pro, not the low-end Intuos. But I can't really agree with you on the Huion case. Every monitor they offer has a different screen size so you can't just call them the same name and say version 1/2/3. You can't just call the 19-inch Huion GT-191 something like Huion Kamvas 1, the 15.6-inch Huion GT-156HD v2 something like Huion Kamvas 2, and the 22-inch Huion GT-221 Pro something like Huion Kamvas 3 because they're all different sized drawing monitors and it would make no sense taking out the screen sizes from their names. And just so you know, they've already done the v1/v2 kind of thing with their Huion GT-156HD v2 and Huion GT-220 v2, so it's not like they haven't done it where they can. As for Huion's screen-less tablets, they have many different screen-less tablets which are quite different, so you can't do the version 1/2/3 thing with those either. Unlike with Wacom, each Huion tablet is not a refresh of a previous tablet, so it would make no sense calling it the exact same name with a different number. Your two cents is fine, I was just genuinely curious where you found so much fault in the naming that you felt you needed to call it out on this video in particular.
@nicolle21266 жыл бұрын
Yeah I thought the Kamvas 1/2/3 wouldn't work because of all the different sizes that come out (since you cant call it S, M, L, XL because what if they make a size that's in between them) but I do think better marketing is one of the few things holding them back from being more mainstream and taken more seriously as a competitor to Wacom. That and product availability in physical stores. I'm just waiting for that moment where everything clicks for Huion and they make Wacom quake in their boots and improve more on their products and services. Also I have no good reason about ranting on my fixation on this video in particular, it's just the internet I suppose :D
@nakushiro7836 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah, it would certainly be a sight to behold if Huion can become good enough to take over Wacom's places on store shelves, or at least be on store shelves beside them. I think the naming scheme that you're looking for is what XP-Pen does with their tablets. They call their screen-less tablets the Star series (or the new Deco series), and their drawing monitors the Artist series. The internet is a wonderful place :D You should totally think up a better naming scheme for tablet companies and suggest it to them to prevent the tragic naming schemes like the Intuos and Intuos Pro.

You have to clean the screen properly before you apply any screen protector. You can use tape to remove dust from the screen and protector. It's pretty simple, it requires patience though. Looking at the screen on the video, it looks like you live in a very dusty place. I was wondering why you hadn't bothered to clean the screen before you filmed the video.
@teohyc6 жыл бұрын
I wiped the screen until it's dust-free, but apparently there are still some dust particles I did not spot. I did clean the screen before filming, but after a while, it will get the hand oil/grease again.
