Randy I hope you never retire from these videos. I know my way around a shotgun as well. Been hunting with shotguns for over 40 years and I still love it like I was 9. But I've trusted and copied your advice from everything to the excellent Weatherby SA-08, to Trulelock chokes. I completely trust this man when it comes to scatter guns. Really like the looks and upgrades on this inertia gun. Good enough for Wakeman, good enough for me

Hi Randy, Academy Sports presently has an ATA Neo X in Realtree Max 7 on sale for $399.00 It appears this new version of the Neo has oversized controls and comes complete with 5 extended choke tubes. As you’ve previously discussed, ATA makes the Element for Weatherby which, by all accounts, is a fine shotgun. I’m curious as to how the Impala would compare to the new ATA Neo X and which would be a more prudent purchase.

The Impala Plus is a big jump up from the ATA Neo-- better recoil pad, better trigger, better finished, and a smoother bolt.

the pattern looks like a 60-40.. This is my favorite pattern for an everything gun (trap, skeet and sporting).. I only buy the browning CX models for this particular reasons.

To get exact, I'll have to pattern it properly at 40 yards and count pellets, but 60 / 40 (3 inches high @ 40 yards) is in the ballperk.

Can you shoot slugs or horneties with a soft polymer tip through the impala plus 12ga w/a 28in barrel??? Bought the impala 12ga for turkey hunting but i have both remi 12ga and 20ga 1100s i use for deer. I did use my 1100 12ga for turkey and ducks but this IMPALA PLUS 12GA w/the the vector choke puts both my remington 1100s to shame.. 25yards and the entire middle of the target was punched out and the spread was unbelievably accurate and all on paper. Great new gun. Only paid 384$

I would not expect good accuracy with slugs out of a .742 inch barrel.

The nominal length of pull is 14-1/4 inches, with a 1-5/16 in. drop at the comb, 1-5/8 in. drop at the heel. My walnut example measures 14-1/2 inches from trigger to the center of the pad. Same for both guns, although via spacers the LOP can be lengthed on the synthetic.

Did you try a patterning shot with the factory choke? Are they flush or extended?
