I have a feeling that the hair was made hollow and thin so that it wouldn't weigh down the kit and make it back heavy.

You can have it be two thin, hollow pieces that connect, making it look non-hollow. If that's enough to weigh the head down, they need to look into their neck peg system.

Thank you for reviewing this kit. I'm trying to compare the face and anatomy sculpts between kotobukiya's and d arts, and I think that koto has its own charm for their face structure. I don't like how bulky it looks, I think it can be sanded down a bit and more closer to the illustration. After seeing this vid I am tempted to give this kit a try though, as I can't find the d arts version anywhere these days. Thanks!

Thanks for watching! I love the face changing aspect of Kotobukiya kits and there's a lot of things you can do to it since its a model kit! Plus D Arts are now hard to find😅

I prefer this Kotobukiya version than the D-Art. Koto did a better job at sculpting and describing the scale of every part. Furthermore it's a model kit so you can customize it into every version you want which is hard to do with D-Art version, you can even mold and cast it into other armors or versions of X, Zero or Axl because they share the same "bone frame" (if you're experienced enough) . I'm gonna do some customs on my model kit too, including rescuplting some parts of Zero, making other armors of X and Axl if Kotobukiya stop the line.

You can definitely try building it as the build process is not too complicated! If you have never built a model kit before, I would recommend building any gundam kit to get a feel for the model building process so that you don't get intimidated by building X and Zero!

I feel that. It can definitely be a little intimidating during your first try. I would recommend getting a cheaper and more simplistic model for your first one and see if you really like it. I personally wouldn't recommend using them as toys though as they aren't meant to withstand a beating.

How did you fix the ankle joint? Mine does not even let the ball joint go into the socket completely, the socket is too shallow and it just shoots the ball joint out by itself without even touching it.

yo solucione el problema de los pies, colocando piezas negras del tobillo de X dentro de la de zero, entro perfectamente, lo pones echado y la parte redonda la pones adelante, tocándose con la parte redonda de zero y la parte cuadrada mirando hacia atrás (como cruz). Luego la articulacion plateada la pones del lado largo hacia arriba y lado mas corto hacia abajo y listo. (claro necesitas tener piezas extra de talones donde encaja el join, para hacer esto)

Thanks for watching! I havent confirmed but the led unit may be a little bigger than the Z buster. Also the construction maybe a bit complex on simply just putting the led unit in the buster.. I'd recommend wire LEDs or x-base type "wireless" LED units for easy customization👍

Thanks for watching man! You can definitely build this even if you are a beginner! There are few things to know of you want to dive in: there are undergated parts so make sure you cut them off so that the parts can fit perfectly.

This looks really good. Can you make the X1 version of Zero? The Z-Buster was also in X1 as well. I mentioned this on stream before, but the Z-Saber is green in some images, but sometimes blue. So it would've been nice to have a green option. I took a look at Kotobukiya's site and there's already a bunch of releases in this line: - RockMan X - RockMan X (Premium Charge Shot Ver.) - RockMan X (Max Armor Hyper Chip Ver.) - RockMan X (Max Armor) - Zero - Zero (Nightmare Ver.) - RockMan X (Rising Rise Ver.) - RockMan X (Force Armor Ver.) Is there any word on them making ones for the X1 armor, X2 armor, X5 armors, X6 armors, X7 armors, X8 armors, Ultimate Armor X, Black Armor Zero, Axl, White Armor Axl, etc? I also notice they made one for RockMan, Blues, and Roll. Are those part of the same line as this? Have they made one for RockMan Dash, RockMan Zero, RockMan ZX, etc?

Perhaps if theres ever a remodel they make zeros hair like how he had it in X8. His hair there was very thin and could end up using the hair tech seen in the dukemon amplified kits

Just wish there was an omega variant and a copyX/X variant with the ultimate armor since copy X never was seen fighting in base form.

Luckly no! I know its a known issue for Megaman X kits as my X had issues with feet falling off easily

Any beginner can build this but proceed with caution because the kit has some undergates and some sharp edges. It would be best if you have basic model building knowledge before you build this

Depends on the brand/company but the zero model have good quality plastic but not as sturdy as figma, but sturdy enough -plastic qualities has been great as long as it's not a bootleg

Mine does that too but only if I do like an extreme pose. If you feel that it is very loose, then use matte top coat to lightly coat the joints then sand around the joints lightly to make it not too loose

It’s definitely not worth the money. It’s cool but the most infuriating thing is the ankle build. It’s almost useless.I thought I just didn’t plug it in all the way but it just hangs there. I’m surprised no one else is asking about it

I personally did not had any issues with the ankle other than there are limited articulations. Maybe I just got lucky with it😅
