just finished building this set it kept me sane through lockdown and being furloughed lol completed it in 21 hours and 20 minutes one of the best sets of lego ive ever built the only niggle is the stickers surely they could be printed onto the lego pieces required for the build aprt from that i would highly recommend the set to any lego fan

This set was very enjoyable. At the age of 12 at the time I did this, if took a year. It was an amazing project. And if you have the set, you can turn the boxes the upside down and it shows the back of the bugatti.

I'd like to see a Ford GT or Mustang GT500 Cobra. I almost bought the Porsche and still might eventually, but then the Creator Coaster came out and that blew my Lego budget for a while. I will pass on this one since I am not a huge fan of Bugatti but I do love that color scheme!

I don’t understand why everyone hates on stickers. If you like the piece it’s applied to, you can take it off and use it for other things. If it’s printed, you better hope it fits with whatever you’re building. It just takes some time to line them up. The 16+ on the box is for having the patience to assemble it, including sticker application. If you don’t have the patience to do that, then don’t get the model.

I’m currently building the Saturn V Ideas set and thought “wait. Ideas sets never use stickers and when will their printed pieces be used again?” So the excuse of using printed pieces that will probably only get used for one set is invalid. ESPECIALLY for a $350.00 Technic set.

i would like to just point out the actual detailing put in to the build to the point where THE KEY that operates the spoiler raising, is actually looking exactly like the "speed key" , in actual bugatti chiron, speed key is used on the left side of the driver - where it is also stored and is separate from the actual car key. when used : car checks every single specification and sensor and if they are in working condition , from oil temperature, amount of fuel all the way to pressure in tires and wear on the tires!

Hi. I live in Thailand and just spent $758 plus $100 tax to ship it here, and thrilled I did ! ! ! I just finished Book 1 and like yourself I discovered a mistake and had to circle back. That;s when I went out out and bought 150 magnifiers so I can see. Tomorrow will start Book 2 and thrilled. This is my 1st model in over 60 years. Lego really outdid themselves on this one.

im in the middle of building mine at the moment and I accidentally put the frnt differentil on upside down, which was not evidant until almost 150 pages later what I went to add onther large assembly to the front axle assembly, and everything is built off the differential so i had to take apart 2 full bags worth of pieces

Wauw - LEGO really went out of their way to make a high-level packaing on this one! And the boxart and design is really cool! I'm not too much into Technics LEGO but this is really beautiful! Is it the same scale as the Creator Mini and VW Bus? Keep up the great work BtB! :-D

1:8 scale. It is as big as the Porsche is basically but somehow it has about 900 pieces more. The closest comparison i can make with an ordinary lego set is the 42000 one, the gran prix racer. About the same lenght, waaay wider.

I built the Porsche, and I ended up very disappointed. It’s too expensive for a static model. There are complex features like the transmission that end up buried in the model with no means of showing them off. Lego should have included an electric motor to operate the drive train while the model is held so that the paddle shift transmission can be exercised. I see the same problem with the Bugatti, and I won’t be buying it.

How about a small, battery-powered electric motor that would connect to the back of the engine temporarily and spin the crankshaft? Put the model up on "blocks" (literally, some Lego), then one could demonstrate the transmission feature. That wouldn't cost an additional $300.

Sometimes i do it with the M motor that came out with the 8070 set but it is really weak and with the wheels on it doesnt spin at all. Instead, i remove the chassis and the wheels and mess up with the gears until i get bored of it. Also those sets are meant to be display only, that's a thing we have already stated
