@@MrSamPhoenix on older cars yes. Not the modern ones that have a fob or remote built into the key you’re better off using a locksmith. They are cheaper than the dealer

I’m glad that people have had success with this type of machine. I tried this many years ago I think it was at Home Depot, and it did not work. I wound up going to a real locksmith, but they were lots of them at one time unlike now/

Reminds me of the plastic molding machines that came about in maybe the sixties - don't know if any of them still survive. I remember watching it make my dinosaur - awesome. Hey, now that's 4 on this one. Wonder if any survive.

Obviously you’re not supposed to but yes it works on a do not duplicate key as long as the kiosk has the right key for. It can’t read the part where it says do not duplicate. I have had to keys made for a previous job and they worked flawlessly

Criminals use on bank machines , portable machines in restaurants etc to swipe the card .. now just think for a second of this automatic key cutting machine got rigged to remember what the customer cuts... They would literally have access to whatever your copying. Just a thought that crossed my mind, only with concern, nothing else no bad intentions.. just I wonder how safe these machines are 🤔

That is a good question, I only did a regular key. I would think it would make the key but I do not think it would have a chip, just a metal key.
