I personally have the same mora knife in my fire kit. I actually taped it onto a 8 inch mora. I added my own ferro rod. Used that setup all last summer. Love it

I love the nano. I do need the wind shield for it though . I have never tried it with the trangia stove

😊 It's a dream to use with the Trangia gas burner. It was necessary to remove the shield that came on the Trangia gas burner in order to use it with the Firebox stove. The tricky part is slipping the burner hose fitting through the slot in the nano. 😉 It is doable though.

cool nano . would work with my small stoves and my wind screen . .But the price is a little to steep for me , not sure how long it would last . Thanks for the info .

Thanks for watching, Terry. I can appreciate the note about the price. So far, I'm not having any issues with it or seeing any weak spots. (knock on wood)

I’ve had both fireboxes in stainless steel, the 5” and the nano. Both are awesome, both support Trangia and they’re very well built, they’re sturdy and easy to use. I had a cheaper one and honestly there’s no comparison.

Thank you for the review on the Eldris! Quick question, did you happen to try slipping the knife into the the sheath backwards to determine if it could be used as a grip/handle extension? I was wondering how stable and secure it is. Also, how do you think it compared to the other neck knives that you tried? I am curious and need to make a purchase soon. Thanks!

Hi NAM, and you're most welcome. Yes, we have tried slipping the handle of the Eldris into its sheath. It fits relatively securely though only friction holds it in place. Neither Bill nor I find any benefit to using the sheath as a handle extension. Much of the rubberyness of the grip is covered by the smooth sheath, so it's a bit harder to hold and not as comfortable. Comparing all the knives as neck knives... If you want something light and compact, the CRKT wins. If you want a knife that's a bit more bulky, though still light weight and more capable, go with the Eldris. For the Eldris, it isn't necessary to buy the Firestarter Kit to ise it as a neck knife. The knife snaps into place securely in the sheath without the secondary lock strap, and you can use the cord of your choice for the neck strap. Looking forward to hearing what you choose.
