Totally agree. I really like Yukimura den, but Sumeragi is definitely the best and much better. I can only hope for an expansion game. :P

Kinda ironic since I feel like Pirate Warrior 4 is now more like the Basara game with moves that can be used without performing combo chain (still need to fill the small bar though, but quick) and Although I respect your opinion on Nobuyuki style, but I like his more than Hideyoshi. with Hideyoshi, I feel he's more like a fighting game grabber, which deals more damage to the grabbed enemy, while the others are effected by the shock wave. with Nobuyuki, surround enemies is the main focus and grabbed one is damaged by side effects like swinging the weapon or smashing it on the ground

Sex Gravy is it me or is the final boss getting harder the more I play the game, you take downhis 3 health bars and then he has them again and his attacks really powerful does the game have an auto difficulty change or what? Please let me know.

They were extremely transparent about the content of this game, showing like 90% of it off. Oh, Naotora's totally had no effect in SB4S against Kenshin, it just wasn't listed lol. The game is fun, and it's just a side game, but it has a ton of issues.

if nothing else they could always release kid yukimura and date as well as masayuki and nobuyuki as dlc characters for sumeragi and or characters fro: older games like xavi or mobunagas wife and the archery kid i dont think it will happen sadly but holy hell id love if it did

A shame that Basara is on deaths row now. Each game is one step forward and three steps back. SB3 Utage is my fav Basara game by far. Even if the gameplay isn't as good as SB4, it was an overall stronger game.

I was going to buy this game so I searched for a review and got here. I knew the game had some issues but not that many. There are only about 20 levels in this game? the original SB4 had double that... And SB4 is one of my favourite games ever. I had no a single issue with it (the graphics on some random soldies was pretty bad but that's it).

I'd probably say yes, There's still fun to be had and the extra mode is quite the challenge, but it's certainly not worth full price

Yeah that is the last time they released one in the west. I'm really surprised they didn't release 4 because it's pretty fucking great.

Sex Gravy I have SB4 Sumeragi. Only complaint I have with it is that they removed Runner's High as the ED from vanilla SB4.

In typical Capcom fashion, they only released Devil Kings and Samurai Heroes. They did that because of the fact that it's a good game, however it didn't sell too well.

I know the game is tremendously incomplete but i always wanted cause SB is my fav franchise, waited for a good sale and i got it for 8 euros now. I know this has less stages, alot less but i still hope they to be fun. What i mean is, SB4S had alot of stages but they were boring compared to SB3U, this game can have less stages but hey, if they are fun enough to repeat i will be happy enough.

I been looking into this, but I think I will stick with Sumeragi. I found Sumeragi have more of a robust roster. Maybe Capcom can pick up the pace and blow something out of the water with a Basara 5.

When I first saw Sengoku Basara Yukimaru I knew they were just trying to compete or rip off what Koei was doing at the time.

I knew this game was bad, but not this bad. Really SPirit of Sanada seems way better in comparison (well to be honest the game looks ALOT better then Yukimura-den. gameplay wise and levels and story wise). the last sengoku basara game i had is the 3rd game, really disappointed they never released sengoku basara 4 or sumeragi, as it has a shit ton of characters and alot more stuff then Sengoku Basara 3. though Nobuyuki does look really stupid in this, definitely prefer Samurai Warriors version (i may be bias but i tend to always prefer the SW character designs, but do like alot of the SB characters too).

This game was a complete joke. 4 Sumeragi is one of the best hack 'n slash games out and it saddens me they'll never release it in the west. And this was the game that followed it, it was rushed, had no content and overall fucking boring, and just a poorly thought out mess. What I found sad about this is that, this was the game that 'finished' this series for good. (a bunch of people heard that capcom has declared the series is dead, but I can't find that quote).

yeah base on what i seen this game doesnt look as great as some of the other sengoku basara games. Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi being the best of the games, which i was really hoping capcom would release outside of Japan. because it has a very large roster and several characters i never got to play on sengoku basara 3. Such as Hideyoshi and Hanbei. Really this game "finished" Sengoku Basara? that is just even more saddening as Yukimura-den just looks like a complete overall boring mess, even when it adds some new stuff, it removes too much. and two of its new characters just dont really seem appealing compared to Koei's versions of Nobuyuki and Masayuki. at least i can say Koei put alot more effort into Sanadamaru/Spirit of Sanada. which can warrant sequels for samurai warriors.

i like sumeragi and judging from this video. i might not get this. but the only thing i really hate about the sengoku series along with capcom jp. they leave so many characters and the old verison of the characts out. and what i mean by that is like for example where the fu@# is musashi. he was awesome. and where is the old verison of oichi. she was really cool and fun with her naganta. but any good looking out.

So I’m guessing this is more of a spin off story as Sumeragi had twice the amount of content? Still looks interesting to some extent though. I’ll always prefer the Basara games over dynasty warriors any day.
