+Laura Vuong hahaha, Merry Christmas! Yeah, the Longshot is a pretty huge blaster when fully assembled. Try using it without the front gun attachment. Enjoy!

+DippyDoes MC Thanks! Leave a like if you haven't already. The opening in the top of the front gun can hold up to 6 Elite Darts and it holds them pretty well - although, I don't think the area was designed for this purpose.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I actually managed to hold about 14 darts up there and they were snug, but that was probably too much. Either way, this will definitely increase the efficiency of reloading the Front Gun!

+DippyDoes MC Yeah, if you lay one dart in the slot that looks like it holds darts, it will hold it -- but very loosely. Aesthetically, there is no greater sniper rifle than the Nerf Longstrike. But it's old and weak and only shoots 20 feet. It needs extensive mods to compete. The Centurion is also an excellent sniper rifle looking blaster. For sniper type performance, no blaster can achieve that unless you use pressurized air...

To be honest that I was thinking to by the Centurion grey trigger version but I'm scared that I will jam very badly because the centurion has a very complicated and delicate mechanism and I do not wanna waste a lot of money but I want to have a nerf sniper rifle and I also do not mod so should I by the centurion ?

MR. DZ it's really luck of the draw when buying a Centurion. Some eat darts for breakfast, others don't have such a bad problem. But you won't know until you buy it. Unless you can get it for a good price, I'd stay away... especially since you don't mod.

+Ashton O'Brien there's no difference but the paint job, so get whichever one you think looks better. Though, the old ones are not sold in stores anymore brand new, save for the Zombie Strike one. Personally, my favorite one is the Elite one...

I thrifted my Elite Longshot, which came with a front gun without the handle ... is it really worth the effort looking for a handle online or is it just too crap to even consider? :p

If you can find it cheap, it'd be worth it to complete the set - IF you're a collector. Otherwise, it's really not worth it. At all.

Thanks for the reply Blee, you got a well earned sub & Ill add that I'm a practical collector with about 30 blasters :) As for the Longshot, I really like itm but it jams pretty often and it's not hitting half the range of my Retaliator xD So maybe, Ill be on the lookout for an LSFG handle, but not expect much :P

Yes and no. If you're going to mod it, or just use it indoors... then it's a really cool, fun blaster. If you are going to take it to an official Nerf war or engage in long range battles outside (around the house or in a park), or you just don't want to open it up and mod it out, then NO... don't buy it. This thing is an old, old, blaster in a new shell.

most of the nerf guns come with hardly any darts. it's like they are forcing you to buy accessories. boomco come with lots of darts. much better value for the money.

+Jeffrey Wells Yeah, man! Nerf keeps including fewer and fewer darts, soon the blasters will come with no darts. Just like the batteries with the flywheel blasters, they'll have a little sticker that says "Darts Sold Separately." BoomCo worries me. I don't know how well those blasters are selling, but everything is so cheap and seems to always be on clearance -- not a good sign.

Nerf Gun Attachments In my area anyway, I never see anything on sale. The breakflip is awesome. The rapid madness is really good. The Spinsanity 3X is really good. The Halo pistol replica is really good. The needler looks pretty cool. Definitely better than the Nerf Rebelle line for sure. But you gotta try the Breakflip. It is so cool, has 20 dart capacity and can be 1 hand primed. At least get the Breakflip cause it is just so fun! That and the Apollo are my favs atm.
