A thought on this blaster: depending on how robust the cocking lever is, this thing would have been ridiculously easy to mod out. Just replace the string with 2 stout springs connected by a string.

nerco comment: I bought my daughter the Rebelle bow and hand crossbow, and when arrows started bending we cut them in the middle and wrapped with electrical tape (just needed something grippy) to fit tightly inside some cut-off pieces of carbon-fiber arrow shafts. They are slower but hit harder for target shooting, which the kids appreciate. Also replaced the bands with stronger material.

Bradley Phillips they can be more accurate though, because there is less surface area on the side of each dart, therefore causing less wind resistance on the side. I think a rival sniper could be pretty cool.

Good videos as always :) I don't agree with you on one aspect though: yes the rof is slower, but you forget that having a different ammo type can be an advantage depending on the game rules. My sister has a rebel bow and we decided to say that the arrows are poisonous so they kill you 15 seconds after they touch you. And since our rules are that normal bullets only kill you if they touch the back or the stomach (arms and legs causing u only to lose ur arm or leg & head not counting, for security reasons). Do the bow has an advantage. Just like the Missiles (on demolisher) have an advantage: they kill everyone in a one meter radius from the first impact.

I'm actually currently running this as a primary and finding that it works quite nicely. Prone to jam and with some older arrows though. For close-range I need to use my secondary, but if you have a decent pistol that can complement it quite nicely. I like the sights, it's better for other closer range guns and I'm a person that actually uses sights so I rather having one like this. There are definitely better sights, but some are a lot worse. Edit: this is only for while I don't have delta trooper (has to arrive by tomorrow) so it isn't a permanent secondary. I also kept managing to hit my brother in the nose while playing in the back garden, and at the time I had a pretty large back garden so that was quite long range.

You could compare this to other blasters that shoot darts by measuring the joules (energy it has, determines how much the projectile hurts). Even though fps is lost cause of the giant projectile, the joules may have increased

The impracticality goes out the window if the moderators of the event decide to make special rules buffing certain ammo types. An example is that if I were to run a war, I would allow shields, but include a loophole in the rule that allows the shields that make arrow hit to the shield count.

Now if you're talking about with Nerf guns I would say the bow idea makes a lot more sense you add more mass which means wind is going to be less of a factor because it's a lot heavier the wind isn't going to be able to push it as much and you have the benefit of the fins and being able to make the projectile a lot more stable in air and with mechanics you can make the crossbow and bow systems relatively strong with the safety tip to make a pretty decent foam flinging tool a lot more effective than the darts more accurate more wind-resistant yeah you won't be able to have the rate of fire of a Dart Blaster by being able to just fire multiple shots but if you go with the bow you can run the stealth loadout and if you run with the crossbow you can run the sniper loadout the bow being a lot quieter than the crossbow a fling a couple arrows in enemies from the bushes they won't see you coming and they're out before they can even tell learn some archery tricks from real archers and real archery real Combat archery and you could become an extremely effective fighter with just the bow running a stealth kit and then you could make a really big crossbow or a system that is essentially a really big crossbow in a Centurion size package by essentially making it kind of like the catapult on the decks of aircraft carriers too rapidly speed up the arrow or bolt since it would be crossbow rapidly speed up the bolt to a speed where it is moving decently fast but is still safe for foam flinging fun and shooting another person with and hits a Target accurately because of the added stability of fins honestly making say take the Centurion put in that sort of slingshot catapult system from the aircraft carriers and have launched crossbow bolts with a big foam tip you have an extremely effective Nerf sniper on your hands what's with the low rate of fire being a sniper you can have it be like a single-shot breech-loading or develop a clever mag system honestly it would make a sniper that is much more effective and capable of reaching much longer ranges because of its ability to stay straight due to its extra weight instability and resist wind out to longer ranges due to its extra weight and stability but lower rate of fire would make sense because sniper sniper rifles don't have high rates of fire they're meant to not be in a position where having a high rate of fire is effective High rate of fire would be ineffective at that range and is more of a detriment so it could be pretty satisfying to just thump somebody with an arrow from across the map during a Nerf competition with your sniper crossbow hybrid or run that stealth kit with a bow from the bushes nobody hearing you coming and you're in and out before anybody realizes
