The Revreaper seems like it would be good support or heavy gunner class blaster. The fact that it forces you to go fast to get the best performance, takes magazines, and can launch darts out pretty fast makes it a good blaster for both classes.

For me: longer stroke or better gear differential to increase fly-wheel speed, SIDE CHARGING HANDLE or even top (screw-in handle) for hip-firing, stock attachment point or built-in sturdy stock or maybe even BULLPUP with bottom-fed magazine, forward grip-area to stabilize the blaster against your shoulder or hip when firing. This blaster doesn't need a vertical handle since there is no index-trigger, just make it straight and more stabilizable and it would be awesome! Oh, and add some foam sound-absorbing into the frame around the flywheels to quiet it down :)

Just got this in 2020 and the handle issues seem to be resolved. My guess is they changed the fit clearances ever so slightly during the run. Ive been nothing but happy with mine and when i play nerf im not worried about the noise so for me its a good fit. Also have hammershot and lawbringer to round out my mechanical loadout

There is likely an internal clutch system in place inside the blaster, and based on the sounds the blaster made while attempting to fire the blaster 'Hard' I would believe you reached the threshold of that clutch (Sounds like plastic gears grinding) which suggests that your upper average to be the limits of the blaster. It's not about how fast you can get the handle from the front to the back, but how high of a speed you can reach with the handle before the dart is fired without breaching that clutch threshold.

I’d recommend using something like an alpha trooper or a rampage instead of a crossbolt. Slamfire and pump action is pretty good, they can essentially perform like a semi automatic flywheel blaster.
