never had a spectrum, a mate did, I had the commodore 64 then Amstrad cpc 464 then 6128 always great gaming in my eyes, loved the dizzy games

Eek it's a naked Spectrum. Sure does look good after the transplant though, they have done an excellent job of the replacement overlay.

Wash it up in the sink, I will happily wash up retro computer cases, but cooking pots I tend to procrastinate for weeks. I am also running out of floor space due to PC's from the WEEE bin. I think I will be giving a few away.

No, they *are* actually 1k, but commonly expanded to 16k via a RAM pack which would wobble and crash ;)

Nice ons Mark!! Your singing is funny! My Speccy looks very new it must have had something likd that fitted in the past or its just still in showroom condition! I still havent got round to finding it a better power supply hehe

The new coloured faceplates in my other video are quite cheap. The vinyl solution you mentioned was actually used by a previous seller a few years back!

THAT NEW FACEPLATE IT´S TOO LARGE FOR THE SPECTRUM 48K ! MANUFACTURING GROSS FAILURE ! and the colours of the raimbow aren´t the same tonality as the sinclair original model !! It seems the guy who created that is myopic + color blind !!!

Calm down mate! It was two years ago and the seller has long since sold out. FWIW, it fits great and the rainbow colours ARE a bit off but about a million times better than a scratched faceplate. The seller was aware of this, but technical limitations on the colour was the restriction. If this upset you, you are gonna SHIT when you see the more recent video about the multicoloured faceplates. Video is on here somewhere.
