The year is 2021 and I just inherited 2 Baby lock BMP6's. Babylock suffers from lack of instructional videos so I was glad to find yours!!!! Very informative. I've been screenprinting for close to 25 years and have been jobbing out embroidery work. This should be fun! Thank you again!!

Good video great tips, watching this 8 years after you uploaded it. Funny what you said about misspelling “angels.” I knew a girl who actually designed a tattoo she had done- a pic of her kids that said “Mommy’s Little Angles.” Her friends were laughing like crazy when I pointed out her mistake, and no one caught the error but me. Hard to correct a misspelled tattoo!

I have a Baby Lock sewing/embroidery combo but I'm ready to upgrade to a 6 needle, I think I will get the Brother. I have loved my Baby Lock and like you I think I have had it maintained once in the 10 years I have had it. It really is a workhorse.

i was thinking about getting one the brother pr620 or a newer one but your right its loud how much louder do you think this is compered to the brother pe770?
@ToniNov256 жыл бұрын
tyquan1000finest if you want to do a business. Like make money get a pr620 or better is a great investment.. when you build clients the machine will pray for itself and more for several years. Now if it’s personal not interest in make money.. pe770 I think will be ok. But some single needle embroidery machines almost cost the same. I would buy the six needle with a regular sewing machine ! It sometimes will be cheaper that way. You will never regret buying a 6 needle embroidery machine even with the noise.. the noise will affect you when you are working a 10 hour day for 10 days straight! But the money and extra income is great!

I have the same machine! Do you have a link that helps you problem solve issues with your machine? I am currently having issues with changing a broken needle and now my trimmer is trimming too short making me retire as after EVERY SINGLE TRIM!!! What should have taken me 20 minutes to stitch, took me 1 hour! I love the hat tutorial!! 👍🏻👍🏻
@gonzomaximus24298 жыл бұрын
would you upgrade to the new baby loc named valiant
@ToniNov258 жыл бұрын
No! I think that the kind of work you would do for a business the 6 needle is a great machine and now they are considerably cheaper! They do 1000 stitches the hoops are the same! The only difference is the large hoop is 8 x 14 and my large hoop is 8 x 11 the only reasons I would get the up grade is for the hat hoop it goes 180 ear to ear! But my hat hoop has a great range and for the designs people ask for its rare to do a design ear to ear! If you want to get a machine to start a business the 6 needle will give you the ability to do great work and it's a great price at this time! On the 10 it has great designs but you will still need a design program to do business logos! I'm sure it's an awesome machine, but for the kind of work I do for my clients a 6 needle is a great machine! Also the hoops that you would use one the valiant can be used on a 6 needle except the large one!

ok Lorena... I dont think the BMP BL Models are hard to find, as a matter of fact some sites are still selling them! the facts of the matter is Embroidery machines hv not changed much over the years . just added on newer features etc.. I called some sewing repair stores and yes they still hv those parts, also you can learn to do some repairs yourself, it depends....I did buy the BL BMP 9 BC I , and I am sure many others cannot afford the newer models ....so far I am Loving it!....BASICALLY it looks just like yours and runs GREAT! ....ITs just like buying a old BERNINA, they run Great and hold their value for Decades...most People who buy these expensive Machines new do take Good care of them, and when they resale they are Good as New...I appreciate your help , now looking forward to learning from you on how to "Master" this machine!

Yes. I recommend that when you get a program that the program comes with some classes so that you can understand the program. I bought mine Bernita artists and took classes and I love it and its easy to use and user friendly. but classes will help you know what is what on the program.

Hi, would you still buy the PR620 now or rather a newer machine?
@ToniNov254 жыл бұрын
I would buy a pr620 if it is significantly cheaper and.both machines really do function the same. For your first machine i would just go with a 6 needle. The price is better and the machine really is great. The only reason i purchased a 10 needle and not another 6 needle is because the 10 needle was only 2000 dollars in difference and it was on sale.

iwonabr I got the machine but recommend that you get an embroidered digital program.. this way you can make your own designs.. you don’t need to buy designs because you can do it yourself.. you can purchase thread at a good price at allstitch.com and you will need 3 stabilizers.. the main one is cut away stabilizer for shirts and logos.. a tear away stabilize see through fabric also fir towels and blankets.. and as you learn your machine and start working with different items like bags you will need sticky stabilizer ... and water soluble stabilizer ...

Lia Shea I love my baby lock but both brother and baby lock are the same machines ! My pr600 and baby lock have same hoops same parts just different name brands they work the exact same! Only difference is one older than the other!i would just get the best price! I would even haggle both companies to get the best deal! Either by adding hat hoop frame or table and price! Try to get as much as possible for ur money! I haggle companies my money is going to get me the most I can
@ToniNov257 жыл бұрын
Lia Shea honestly I wouldn't get a single needle! You can buy used six needles that will give u more for ur money! It will save you thread changing- the machine embroiders faster and cleaner designs and less needle and thread breakage! And it can open the doors to do more versatile work ! No if u intend to just stay small and you have time and not in a hurry to get ur projects done I would look into it and if it feels right for u ! Go for it ! Test it play with machine too before u get it! Consider ease of use ! Meaning is it easy to learn and work!

I did have the motor go out.. but a guy fixed it for 100$ I was also working the life out of it.. working for hours I mean.. I now have three machines.. I love baby lock better than brother though they have better bearings and internal parts.. but I have a brother she works great pr620 .. oh on my emp6 which is my first machine.. the screen went out and they don’t make parts for it.. but a guy put a brother screen on it and it’s works like a Jen.. I have had had machine since 2002.. my Recommendatio are get a 10 needle which my cost 2000$ or 1000$ difference it has bigger hops.. fight Eith seller to throw in the hat hoop and frame .. and try to get a table off of it.. they give specials push to get the hat hoop and frame with the machine for free.. on whatever machine you get a 6 needle or 10 needle .. don’t get a 1 needle you are waist if your money .. .. get a Bernini artists embroidery program it’s easy to learn and it’s worth it they do up dates every so often I love the program .. message me if you want on Facebook I would love to talk if you want.
