The streakfly helped me with my plantar fasciitis by wearing it for slow recovery runs and as a daily trainer once a week.

How did you treat your plantar? I've had it for a few months, & it's so painful that I can hardly walk at times
@Laolu908 ай бұрын
@@toddlesiak3837 1. Use a lower cushioned lower stacked shoe for easy runs like the streakfly once or twice a week instead of always using a max cushioned daily trainer like the Novablast all the time. 2. Throw away your shoe if you think it’s causing plantar fasciitis even if it hasn’t reached 250/300 miles. 3. Do calf raises barefoot at home. Everything is discussed in this video, it really helped: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ3chaJ9lsSBjtksi=m2nykSXVvmC2uYFN

1. Find a lower stacked less cushioned shoe like the streafkly to do your easy runs in instead of doing most of your runs in a high stacked high cushioned shoe. 2. Throw out your current running shoe if the plantar gets inflamed during, just after or the day after the run. 3. Do barefoot calf raises at home and stretch out your big toe as much as you can. Buy a small massage ball and use that under your feet everyday by rolling your foot on in. 4. Watch a short video on plantar fasciitis on KZbin by Sagasu Running. 5. Wish you a speedy recovery!

I have a thing for cheap running shoes, and the Nike Revolution ($US 60) is a great value shoe. They have a bit more cushion than older models, but it is on the form side. Even took it in an incredibly muddy and technical trail this weekend and it performed pretty well. My daily though is the WinFlo which can soak up the miles without being a marshmallow mess.

Great video Ben, all of the Nike regular shoes feel cumbersome to me but I love the Streakfly and Alphafly 3. Strangely, I struggle with the Vaporfly 3 which is surprising as I think version 1 & 2 are the best race shoes ever across all distances (Aphafly 3 is definitely better for anything 10 miles and above now, though).

I agree about the vaporflys, loved the version 1's and the plasticky upper, liked the version 2's bur preferred the 1's upper and the jury is still out on the 3's, ran about 100k in them but not raced in them.

The peg 39s started to feel too flat and almost like I’m slapping the ground. Could be because I used it for weightlifting too, I ran like 480km with them. What I’m looking for is a more plushy and fun shoes that will push me a bit more….. so I guess the Vomero 17 should be perfect. Except I’m afraid of the extra few grams. I hope they are not felt all that much.

I have both Nike Invincible 3 and the Infinity 4. I prefer the cushioning and rocker ride of the Infinity 4 ,but the Invincible 3 has a more comfortable upper that hugs my feet really well without having to be super snug ad the Infinity 4. For long runs I prefer the Invincible and for easy short runs the Infinity is amazingly relaxing with the rocker it has.
@playingindies67309 ай бұрын
I own the invincible 2 and 3. And while the 3 visually looks better, and quite a bit better.. the 2 is so much better in comfort. The 2's upper is just so much more comfortable that the 3 felt like a huge step back to me.
@MiracleWarriors9 ай бұрын
@playingindies6730 I overpronate, and the Invincible 3 works marvelous to me. But I did not have the two previous versions that were very unstable for overpronation running, or so I heard. I want to see if the Invincible 4 will be another "heavy " high cushioning shoes that are faster then most highly cushioning stack shoes OR maybe Nike will make the next Invincible to compete with super trainers, like the SuperBlast 2 or a Cloud Monster Hyper, for example. I only got my Invincible because of last year's Black Friday because I don't think they are worth full price for what it does. Even that I ended loving my pair.

For me the Streakfly is a 3-5km Time trial/race shoe. Whenever I use it for longer than 5km's my feet are busted. The reason for that is, you feel so low to the ground and you feel almost everything.. Because you hitting the ground hard It does not give that energy return back to the legs like the Zoom next% or Alphafly... The Zoom fly 5 is fairly comfortable BUT heavy. Definitely not a 10km speed shoe, should be used for longer runs.... My all time favourite is the Nike Air Zoom Tempo NEXT %... I am on my 3rd pair!. Cant wait for the version 2

I am an avid fan of Nike running shoes ever since I was engaged in Marathon running way back 2017, and I own different types of it. Per my experience using it all, I can say that my most favorite pairs would be the Nike Infinity Run React 3 and the Nike Pegasus 39! I love the stability and durability of the Nike React, and versatility on my Nike Peg. Feels really good with my feet, and it’s so comfortable! With my Nike Invincible 3 and Nike Zoomfly 4, I often roll my feet, and I actually had sprained my ankle. :( Nike Vaporfly on the other hand feels so tight that my feet can’t wear it for a longer time. Just my two cents. :)

@francescborrull934211 ай бұрын
In a well structured training running program, there are different kinds of workouts like easy runs, recovery runs, tempo runs, intervals, and long runs. In my case, I use the Pegasus for easy, recovery and long runs. I use the Zoom Fly 5 for tempo and interval runs. The Fly 5 is also the shoe I am racing in this 2024. If you want to be even more 'picky' or specific, you could have a dedicated shoe for recovery runs (one with extra cushion, aka max cushion shoe), and if you are very fast (I'd say faster than 7 minute per mile), the Vaporfly is the 'one' shoe to race 1/2 and marathon races. I am a slower runner, thus I don't need a Vaporfly, the Zoom Fly 5 is enough for me. I hope this helps. @@TheMap1997

Great video! I have a pair of Zoom Fly 5 and although I really enjoy the feel of the shoe, I get the front of the bottom of the feet too hot very often. I don’t know if someone had the same problem here. I am a front striker which I don’t know if it emphasises the problem. I’m using these shoes for fast session, but also long runs and some racing too. I raced a couple of road 10 k in them and one half marathon. But on the half marathon I was feeling that under feet heating and it was very uncomfortable/ painful. I don’t want to use them on a marathon because of that. Is there anything I could try to change this feel? Thank you!
