You can easily connect a sub or amplifier yes 👍 I also have one hooked up to the unit that I have in the back of the car. On some of their units you need to access the hidden menu and activate it (enter 8788 to get into the menu). And try to play around with the 8877 where you can make changes to the sub cutoff. Hej - god video. Jeg har netop installeret en JUNSUN android radio i min bil. Jeg har forsøgt at installere GPS til den, men den fanger ikke signal. I stedet bruger jeg Zlink til CarPlay. Hvis GPS skal virke, kræver det også, at man har et simkort i radioen for internet? Et andet spørgsmål. Mikrofonen til samtale i JUNSUN er elendig. Er det muligt at koble bilens originale og integrerede mikrofon på systemet i stedet for? Eller indstille mikrofonen i JUNSUN enheden? Mvh

Hvis feks Google Maps så skal du have GPS samt dataplan(3G, 4G el WiFi) aktiveret el hente offline kort ned lokalt. Der skulle gerne medfølge en Navigations app med offline kort. Alternativ kan du hente “Here WeGo Maps” der også har mulighed for offline kort :-) ellers kan du kontakte deres support og bede om en nyere firmware (opdatering). Nogle enheder har været et halvt år på lager inden de sendes ud og derfor af og til ret bagud med diverse fejlrettelser. Jeg bruger en ekstern mikrofon du kan kæbe fra ca 20,- på AliExpress. Du skal bare finde en mono mikrofon med jackstik og så trække den op via stolen el andet 💪🏻

@kaufmannlivet bare hotspot fra telefon el WiFi og hent kort så virker det super 😀. Ellers hvis du bruger Apple CarPlay el Android Maps kan du helt undlade denne funktion da alt ressource forbrug så foregår på telefonen og så kører navigationen smooth…. Personligt har jeg prøvet med tre forskellige mikrofonen så endte ud med en Boya By-1M da den også kommet med ekstra lang ledning til de ca 149 i power. Giver rigtig god lyd hos modtagerne 😁

Thank you for the nice answer. I haven't decided on that model yet because I'm comparing others, but this is the first one on my list. You mentioned the codes, I know that each model has different codes for some settings. Can you please list what codes this model has for some settings as not all codes may be found using the internet. A question for your opinion (is it legal) I have two Erisin Android 12 radios, one has advantages and disadvantages, the other has the opposite advantages and disadvantages. Both have less GB memory (I want more). Have you maybe tested some Erisin with Android 12 so you can compare Erisin with Junsun. I apologize for this lengthy letter.

I haven't tested what you mention. I have only looked at 6 different brands (private label) units but the good thing with Junsun is, that it seems to have the most active company behind it. Best support and most released firmware so you hopefully over time has an unit with almost no errors. One friend who ordered a MAMSM branded one can't get any useful support and no firmware updates at all and CarPlay and Android Auto doesn't work wireless that he is stuck with. Junsun at least have a support who tries to help and maybe share the firmware files on XDA. The codes can be found here xdaforums.com/t/junsun-v1-codes.4282299/

Theme application is installed by default yes and you can buy an activation code directly from the app or from junsun or whatever android head unit you buy (there is a loft of different private label brands, junsun is just one). Me and other buying Junsun from AliExpress has all been offered a free license to one of their software add-ons where you can choose them, Junsun gps tracking, voice recognition and some other ones if you give them a 5-star rating... Regarding themes you're free to use any android launcher like Nova so you can actually customise it endless. I have actually switched to nova and activate google maps, Poweramp (music player) in the background so everything I will need is ready instantly I power on the car. So since android you can mod it to something really great but the UI Junsun offers (launcher) can be buggy depending on the shipped firmware.

Hey, you can always look under apps and then the launcher app. If you can’t split screen then it’s the older UI but right now they’re all just clearing stock to make ready to ship the newer QLEDs with 2000x1200p screen so all these models begins to be outdated. Manufacture has already made new frames for many cars and constant updating so these low resolution units maybe isn’t the best to pick up at the moment. And Android 12 you for sure don’t has, it’s just the images that says Android 12. So if you download app to check you will get an earlier Android version than stated.

Yeah both CarPlay and Android auto works and you can use it either by wire or wireless'ly. It does use more ram. For wireless use please see the sale images to get a headunit that supports this (got the wireless antenna in the box). Connection is pretty stable by the way 😊

@@ridikiller if you already got a USB port, in the car, in connection with the stock headunit the android head unit should could use that one but you also got 2x more USB headers. These you can pull into the glovebox or something. So I always have a 265GB for music that's hidden and then the stock USB header in the centre console to use for transferring new music to the permanent USB automatically using the Tasker plugin that you can find in play store.

Hi Mitja, I think you should be fine. I'm around 2,2-2,7 in Memory utilization when Carplay/Android Auto isn't running and only a music player is being used. When loading Google Maps I spikes up to around 4-5GB in use but only shortly. So if you don't plan to mod it with different launcher, some widgets and auto-start of Google Maps, Music and other stuff in the background at the same time, I think you will be fine :-).

Depends on the connector type and if the camera already mounted is "digital" or "analog". I have installed around 40 of these and existing camera worked without modding 3 times (maybe it was 4) and on 2 cars the wires could be re-used but the camera itself needed to be replaced and wires soldered. So you need to prepare for the need to buy a compatible reverse camera. The reverse signal to automatically turn on reverse camera can just be "hooked" up into the white reverse light. Works perfectly 👍

@@miguelgalarraga9149 I contacted their support just to understand what's going on. The newest versions of v3 will have the same skin as v4... Before it was rebranded to make it sound more new haha 😂. Some buttons etc can be different but according to them not a big deal but you can get ui3 upgraded to ui4 in most cases. Should also help on UI bugfixes but if everything works they recommend not to upgrade to a newer version 🤨😅

The only way I can think of is using the application "Tasker" that you can find in Play store that can detect an app launch and then perfom the actions you have choosen to perform. I actually use modded version on Nova Launcher as default launcher/theme now. Then you can use kwtg for custom widgets like the GPS-speed. Maybe try look at MacroDroid for android that is a macro app. Then you can record the switch-theme action. Hope it can point you in the right direction.

Only seen this when trying to fit it into some Renault's and VW but mostly solvable when rearranging the clips and sometimes bending the trim slightly with a heat gun. You can also try to contact their support. Sometimes it helps to start fitment from the bottom where most probably will insert the top clips at the top first... Maybe compare with the trim before to see what parts isn't matching the original and mod a little?

Hey Ron, den headunit virker som et fund til de penge. Hvor har du købt den? Jeg selv har en ældre xtrons tr100, som er lidt træt med sine kun 2gb ram, og android 7.1.2 og aldrig opdateret firmware. Jeg har forsøgt at læse op på emnet på xdaforums, men jeg synes det er lidt af en jungle at finde ud af hvilken fw, launcher osv der skulle virke til min. Er det noget du er skarp i? Vil helst undgå at købe ny, da den fungerer ok, og budgettet er stramt, men til 1500kr, kunne det nemt ende med at blive løsningen 😊

Hej Magnus, den er blot købt på Aliexpress (via deres France store) men Polen skulle give samme resultat og den virker ganske fint til prisen med det gør 4GB modellen nu også. Selv dem jeg kender som har 2GB modellen, de er ganske tilfredse hvis det blot handler om radio/musicplayer og så enten wireless- Android Auto el. Apple Carplay. Det er kun når f.eks. Google Maps bliver kørt fra enheden + musik + deres GPS sporing app at man opdager forskellen ift mængden af cores/hukom. Og hmm jeg benytter mig pt. bare af Nova Launcher som er utrolig lightweight og så KWGT Kustom Widget Maker til at lave widgets til GPS hastighed mv. Men du kan da se om du kan få lov til at installere "Car Launcher Pro" el. basic-udgaven på din enhed. Jeg har egentligt denne video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qamzg4uEg6qGgMU hvor jeg har tweaket junsun-enheden men har så lavet mange tweaks siden så pt. er jeg på Android 14 med en custom flashed ROM men bl.a. ratbetjening har jeg endnu ikke fået til at virke. Det eneste man lige skal være obs på at Junsun ca. spytter en ny model ud hvert halve år i tagt med at lageret bliver tømt så man står hurtigt med en "halvgammel" enhed men ny firmware kan fint flashes løbende hvis man vil være på deres egen white label release. Det er jo en headunit du kan købe under de første 30 forskellige brands så det er mest bare supporten og så en anelse på UI der er forskel. Ellers er de alle ens ift. hardware med undtagelse af hvilken modelbetegnelse de har på hylderne hvor nogle gør brug af en blæser og andre ikke.

@@brevstgaard jeg har godt set det med at bruge Tasker til at starte Spotify og Maps i baggrunden ved power on. Det satme en go idé, som jeg skal prøve. Har lige for nyligt købt Tasker, da min unit ikke har 4g, så har lavet en kommando så min mobil tænder Hotspot når den forbinder til radioen med bluetooth. Har du andre gode ideer til Tasker funktioner på unit eller telefonen, som jeg skal prøve?😊 Mht firmware, var spørgsmålet mest tiltænkt om du havde ekspertisen til at pege mig i en retning så jeg kan få ny firmware osv på min unit. Har lavet et opslag på XDA for et par dage siden, dog har ingen meldt tilbage endnu. Pga budgettet, håbede jeg at opgradere/opdatere/optimere min unit til at kunne køre mere frisk, så ikke jeg skal ud og købe en ny, men 1500 for den i videoen frister. Dog er jeg stor tilhænger af den "løse" skærm der sidder på min, da det passer bedre i min gamle Galant 😊 Må jeg skrive til dig på Instagram, istedet for at ha en kilometer lang kommentartråd her?😊

Altså jeg kender ikke lige din valgte headunit men alt android kan du jo hurtigt smide en AOSP Rom på men kræver lidt kodning og kedsommelige aftener men hvis det ikke er noget du selv vil/kan sidde og rette i så er det nok ikke vejen at gå. XDA er vejen at gå og der er Torsten eller hvad han hedder den skarpeste og har lavet app launchers til radioen, bakkamera osv. Du kan altid prøve med nova launcher der bør hjælpe lidt på hastigheden når du skal skifte mellem apps men ellers bliver det nok bare som at installere win11 på en gammel win10 maskine 😅. Ift tasker så er det bare en masse småting som f.eks. at smide alle hentede apk-filer og mp3's i egen mappe og så give besked når jeg er i nærheden af bestemte locations ved brug af Google Maps og så lidt til at lave quick calls over messenger til bestemte kontakter men nok ikke brugbart for mange. F.eks. med musik så sync'er jeg alt fra nas'en til usb drevet i bilen via Resilio Sync når der er WiFi hvor simkortet primært bare er til track af bil samt tilgå dashcam video feed on-demand. Hvis du engang får en Junsun el anden headunit af nyere dato hvor jeg let kan tilpasse min egen rom til at kører så kan du sagtens få denne android 14 smit afsted til dig men har endnu ikke løst ratbetjening og lidt andet så ret beta 🤯. Men den kommer med widgets til automatisk 0-100km/t måling og alt muligt som jeg regne med bliver handy ud i fremtiden når jeg skruer tempoet op for videoer 😅

Der er plus modeller med og uden licenser til de forskellige apps. Det fremgår at billedet tilknyttet den valgte model på f.eks. AliExpress. Hvis disse er inkluderet så skriver du blot til supporten (under Messages) at du har købt plus udgaven der burde indeholde de forskellige apps og hvis ikke, så koster de forskellige apps mellem 15-35$ alt efter hvilken. Junsun er desværre sådan at de ikke kommer med ring før man spørger det samme gør sig gældende for firmware opdateringer du selv skal flashe via usb.

Du kan google dig til et Canbus sheet med diverse men du er nok nødt til at prøve dig frem. Det er et kinaprodukt så du vil ramme ting der ikke lige er lige ud af landevejen. Men hvis det bare handler om rat betjening kan du så ikke bare manuelt assigne hver knap inde i indstillinger?

Hvilken firmware er du på? Ofte når du modtager den, så er enheden ret bagud da nogle enheder har samlet støv i flere år før solgt. Opdateringen er lidt bøvlet da man manuel skal hente to filer der skal lægges på en USB og så sættes i din headudnit. Du kan feks søge på “Junsun Firmware XDA” og så se om den nyeste matcher den version du er på.

Hi. Maybe ask for a different firmware where you purchased it or try look at XDA. Each firmware fix something but also breaks one or two things that worked great before 😂. Most problems is due to a crappy launcher coding so switching the launcher fix many issues. Right now I’m on a Pixel Phone launcher and has been the fastest and most “snappy” so far. Radio or Music player I auto start with the Tasker-app from play store. Then you can use any weather app with widget support. Junsun’s UI(GUI) is like being a beta tester, buggy but you can find solutions 😜

@@csabagajdar9955 yeah no problem, you can install all the different launchers you want and try them out like nova etc. if you don’t choose a standard start launcher you can switch between them when pressing the home(house) button and otherwise you can “jump” between them in the settings menu. Yeah no problem showing and controlling the A/C etc but you need to buy a vehicle specific android head unit by searching for the car brand and model also 👍. Sound when music player is a lot better than stock headunit but for better sound the speakers will also has to be replaced in most cases. Radio is alright but more expensive units like Pioneer and Sony does get a better reception. So driving in caves you would get just a bit better signal with a "branded unit" 👍. Please beware that the reverse camera can't always communicate with this android head unit so you will maybe need to change this in case you need this. Buying a mic to fit closer to the driver would also be recommended for hand free calls due 👍

Hi Ron. For using GPS Tracking, AI Voice and Internet Radio activation code is needed. After contacting the seller he now requesting buying those activation codes (there are separate codes).The sellers pages are obviously misleading when stating there is GPS Tracking, AI Voice and Internet Radio in this device.

1) GPS tracking is just the Junsun Security app where you can see the cars location in real time and past. I better fix is using the Google Family Link and setup your Cars android head unit as a child account. Then you can track it in real time. See past places and even make zones for when to notify you. (So make a new Gmail email for the car unit and then add it under Family Link). It works much better and less buggy.... 2) AI voice is buggy so I personal don't use it and just use Google Voice / Google assistant instead for starting radio etc. 3) Internet radio can easily be replaced by another online radio app (like TuneIn).. but I agree, alle the small micro purchase is annoying. If from AliExpress you should get 1x license to what you prefer for free of giving them a 5-start review.

@@mitjam theme code you can buy from the app but can’t remember the price in the head. GPS locating tracking (spy app) 15 EUR. Online Radio is 18 EUR and then then voice is 18 EUR but their flagship voice costs 22 but they can be found as standalone on AliExpress but it’s rubbish and only hear you with external microphone if playing music and not so precise.

Det er der ingen problemer i. Egentligt er det bare 7758258 du for alt i verden skal holde dig fra, også selv om man bliver nysgerrig for ikke at komme til at stå med en enhed du ikke kan få liv i selv ved ny flash fil på usb. Altså du kan komme til at pille i ting som fuldstændig slår ratbetjening ud af drift. Komme til at sætte nogle indstillinger så dit FM signal nærmest er ikke-eksisterende men 8878 vil du også skulle bruge ifm med deres addons som bakkamera og obd2 reader hvis de ikke virker ved modtagelse og disse indstillinger kan du altid nulstille. Nogle dog ved ny firmware du lettest finder via søgningen “Junsun XDA firmware +modelkoden” f.eks 8259p. Hvis du vil ind i disse indstillinger pga manglende funktioner, stabilitet el. fordi den ikke gemmer dine indstillinger så det nok bare en firmware opdatering der skal til. Kan du F.eks ikke få den til at huske genvejene på hjemskærmen til næste opstart hvor den er helt slukket og virker Android auto og CarPlay kun af og til, så den sikkert på v81 der er den dårligste firmware de har afsendt disse enheder med fra deres lager. Særligt den franske store her spyttet firmware 81 ud med fejl på nær alle punkter man kan komme i tanke om 😅

Så har du nok en 8667-model, hvilket du kan tjekke med koden 160. Nyeste firmware til nævnte er v47 og er du heldig, så er du på v46 ved modtagelse. Her er det mest bare i UI’en de har fixet ting og små kodningsfejl men der kommer nye firmware løbende som du selv skal flashe ved at smide to filer ned på usb, sætte den i når enheden er tæt og så give det 10-15 minutter til den nye er flashet og alt kører igen. Det er desværre ikke som på en telefon hvor det går automatisk.

Sadly the UI(theme) can't be modified that much other than the basic colors and changing the icons on the home screen. No widget controls etc.... I have modded it with apps that you can see here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qamzg4uEg6qGgMU and I think it works much better. You can install any other launcher from Google play store that you like 👍. There you can also (in the description) find a link for the individual android apps like radio.apk so you can keep all functions even of you use another launcher :-)

My only guess will be the connector that you have fitted behind the unit - the one with 2x long (one of them has a yellow male end) cables and 2x short. I also had problems. Took it out and in again and fiddle a little around with the wires. Maybe try to borrow a iPhone and see if that one will connect. Of no I would ask support to ship a new of this connectors since it has done to trick for me on the past :-)

The touch buttons on the left of the screen (headunit).. they should “follow your car”. So when going from position light to low or high beam you should see the buttons light up in different colors. Maybe try turn the light on in the cars dash etc. In the advanced settings menu 8888 you can switch it to only a white color.

Nogle stereo er også understøttet så det er bare at prøve sig frem hvis du allerede har noget liggende som måske er brugbart men ellers så kan deres support nemt guide dig til rette mic. Ellers kan du også se om du kan leve med den indbyggede særligt hvis du er god til at dreje hovedet mod den købte headunit når du skal snakke hehe :-)

Hi, I have bought the same unit as yours. And it works great. Have you checked if the actual Android version is 12? I checked my unit using "Fake Device Test" app and it shows that it is running on Android 10 instead of 12. Seems like Junsun is not selling what it claims. Maybe you can verify yours as well.

If we don't talk loud about it you're pretty spot on, that the android 12 isn't what you're getting out of the box. The problem is that the PRO is purchased by a lot more than the PLUS so here the updates is easy to obtain from XDA. With the plus you will begin a fight about their ain't any for the PLUS variant and the shipped firmware is buggy as hell. You can easily tell of your shipped firmware is of older date if the icons can't be replaced on home screen and remembered at next boot up. I got a newer flash file from a Singapore dude that almost live by fitting these units. It's better but still buggy so another launcher and some Takser-plugin settings can make the experience a lot better.... If you're on one of the really bad shipped units Android Auto also don't work when using it wireless'ly so if it's working without problems then it can actually be worse to try to fix stuff 😴😅. If you end up getting a newer flash file please let me know since the link I got is dead so can't share it sadle and the USB stick is in the unknown.

@brevstgaard so far, the unit is working fine except for UI 3.0 theme resetting to default if sleep mode turned off. For example when I selected black, the icons will revert to cyan colour which is the default theme. Ui4.0 is fine though. For now, I switched the sleep mode to on and see how much battery is drained from my car. After checking on XDA, our 8667 unit latest firmware is v46. I checked my unit by using 160 code and it shows that it is on v45 so I guess I won't be flashing the firmware to avoid bricking the unit. Maybe you can check what is yours on.

@@brevstgaard hi, I just found out thr unit Junsun sold me is actually 4GB and not 6GB. I use "Fill memory" app to fill up the memory. The most I can fill is only 3GB before it frezzes up which means this is not 6GB version. U might want to check yours too and open a dispute with them.

I actually got a 8259p as the 6GB running at v08 but that's a modded version with built in radio apk etc. I can top out at 4,6 in ram utilisation before it starts to be unhappen but hmm. Still can't see a reason to complain in my case, the android can't be updated for now (no matter what) and the skin update etc isn't worth the hassel when everything works. Just picked up the junsun due to a cheaper than some known 2-dim headunit and that what most want anyway. I guess yours is so new you got it with a fan built in? Mine is only the passive one. I'm actually there where I want to try a M6 Pro Plus with 2000*1200 (2K QLED) 4G LTE+ 5G WIFI 8 Core 8+256GB instead item:1005005980116850

Cannot believe Junsun will do such a thing. First, usb and theme issues as posted in XDA. Now lying around the Android and RAM specification. How can they be so dishonest.?

Hi. I just installed Junsun V1 Plus. I have an issue with WiFi connection. Want to share iPhone hotspot connection with Junsun. 1. At start it connected ok, but now a headunit does not want to detect a hotspot unless I set "Maximum Compatibility" in Personal Hotspot settings of the phone!? This is wired. 2. Headunit doesn't want to connect to hotspot and WiFi constantly switches off after network searching when I switch it on manually. I found out that if I turn off Blouetooth connection on my phone (devices were connected over BT) then I'm able to connect to the WiFi on Junsun. Does it mean that BT and WiFi connection can not be both active between phone and Junsun? If not than this is quite a limitation. I have other issues, too 😢 But lets not do to many at the same time...

Firstly, it's an android unit so it will be more stable when you connect it over WiFi with another android unit (hotspot). Upgrading the firmware do help on your hotspot issue and I want from problems with the iPhone 11 pro and the 15 til have almost none but the travel was annoying and it seems to work better if you under WiFi settings enable the auto start of the WiFi if it isn't default on your unit.... The unit is a little picky regarding the WiFi names and password for some reason so can you try with no spacing and something simple? At least it has made in better on my case but maybe just luck. You should easily could be on both wireless and bluetooth otherwise you would also reach some limits on Android auto and CarPlay of you have chosen a unit that supports it but now we're again back to that you probably is running the unit as you got it and haven't flashed a newer firmware. Junsun isn't so good to help with that and telling when a new update os available so you will need to head over to XDA and search for your model to find the newest release for your unit. Depending on when you have purchased it you maybe got the v81 and that have really been crap to say it at least. Even android auto and CarPlay have been unstable to another world and Junsun support only recommended to check wires behind on the unit so it will be a good place to check what unit you actually got your hands on.

By the way the easier way to check firmware version is to type 160 in the Junsun code menu. If you got the 8259P, then probably most of your problems is due to the low firmware version and here you can easily flash v107 to fix maybe half of the problems 😂

I have purchased a device at the beginning of January 2024. The biggest issue currently is hissing sound from the rear speakers. This hissing sound is always present unless there is no ACC signal any more (eg. when you switch off the car). I found out that if I disconnect the white plug that comes from the Canbus to the Junsun unit then hissing sound disappears and speakers sound normally. Something familiar maybe?

You just need to massage their support and they will give you a link. If you haven’t purchased the unit yourself you can just reach them through AliExpress. If you have a plus unit then you should could get online radio, gps track and AI voice for free but Find My Device by Google is less buggy and if you set up your android head unit as a child device you can still make alerts zones etc but compared to the Junsun white label app you can’t go back in time and see location in same way but this is built in under the google maps app so the security app don’t provide function the unit don’t offer out of the box. But their apps cost around 12-35$ for each license.

You don't give enough information to point you in the right direction. For example. If you have a plus model and flash a pro you will run into more problems than a UI update will fix. If on Aliexpress they answer in 1 or 2 days on the frence junsun store in all my cases. You can also ask for one at XDA where people also have made their own apps to open reverse camera when you want and other stuff :-) Best regards Ron

@@tomekbaranski2 The QR code is for their Junsun Security App where you can track day by day the travel of the car and also do a real time location track. It’s an add on you will have to purchase. They call it “Junsun GPS tracking” and sometime it’s called “Junsun GPS software” that can be a little misleading. Easiest will be to go to AliExpress and contact their support for a direct link. Mine was from the Junsun France Store but that one maybe isn’t there nearest you so even if it’s a online activation code you will get it will make sense to order as local as possible if you at some point want accessories for it like their dash cam etc

True speaking, it really depends. If alone in the car, low tire/wind noise or you’re standing still. Pretty fine with the built in mic in the headunit but when some is talking in the backseat or you want your voice to be crystal clear you will want to mount an external mic to the right cable. I use a cheap Boya microphone with long cable and switched the black dust cover (deadcat) to a white so you can’t see it if you’re not looking for it. Not really any delay if the cellular is fine, so like a normal Bluetooth connection but under bridges and tunnels it becomes a bit more noticeable but still nothing close to a big deal to be a deal breaker.

I ordered junsun v1 pro 6 months ago for my suzuki scross. Here is my experience. Delivery very fast. Installation very easy (plug and play). Plastic frame match excellent, like original. Features were great, usb, internet, wifi, apps installation over playstore, wheel steering, navigation, fm radio, watching videos, bluetooth calling.. etc. Car dashboard looked much more better, more modern, like in more expensive cars. Now bad side A few times radio froze, just stuck and you had to reset all machine. That start being frustrating. Store support send me new firmware, and after that seemed no problem. FM reception is not so good, almost like in smartphone when you put headphones and listen fm radio. Worst thing is sound quality, i could set aside all other bugs, but sound quality is my priority. I tried everything, even install new equilizer apps, but nothing help. Customer service is little funny, they reply you with one message daily, so if you ask them you need to wait 24 hours. I finally sold the machine after on monts

We can easily agree it isn’t perfect but compared to something like a Alpine Halo11 the pricing is much more in reach for most :-) trim(plastic) fitment depends on car but again for the price it’s maybe alright if it isn’t perfect and help to refresh the look in the car. I can totally agree regarding firmware, some things doesn’t work out of the box but each fix they make also brake other things so when you finally hit a stable one where everything works it’s sometimes better to stay at this one. Sound quality improved in my case except FM sound so better antenna and a booster to keep the internet “amp” low then it became pretty okay. Support is only good as long ones questions is kept simple and sometimes a rewrite with words in another way is needed to reach a useful answer 😅. After my own rom in the unit and nova launcher it has been rock solid without any problems :-) … but yeah error less it isn’t

@@redyellow4014 maybe try look into a "car radio signal amplifier" since they're cheap and easy to attach. Some cars has a built in one like some Audi's where when removing the stock unit you also remove the boost from the built in amplifier. The parts inside these units is a lot behind what you will find in Sony, Alpine, Kenwood. All these headunits are private labels from Zhou factory there also makes the different skins sellers uses where Junsun just had some of the best support you get when buying a device like this. If you contact support they normally also give you some advices regarding settings.

We can agree that they have a problem with over-selling their private label units... and the Android 12 isn't what you get but I can easily reach 4.6 and sometimes 5.3 before I get a memory issue so the units (at least some) do have more than the 4GB. It really depends on what exact model you get when they ship them out. Junsun isn't the most updated unit of these spittet out but they're almost the only one that tries to help 😅. But yeah some of what's stated is crap but all-in-all it's a cheap device that will make most happy and Android 12 won't make most people more or less happy and when talking about specs the only think one can do is to read what's stated but you can flash your own custom rom and get even android 14 running that I have right now but you will loose some functions and their launcher that I haven't solved yet. But cheap and works well.

True. Even Junsun own software shows 4GB (instead of 6GB) and Android 10. To see this you have to: - For total memory: When entering Factory Settings type 1111. You will get current system load info (black row on top of the screen). Where you can see total memory (/4GB). You may also see that current allocated memory is more then total memory ... - For Android version: go to Settings, search for Android version > click on version > press button for Android update (you have to have internet connection) > wait for the update check. It will say that you are up to date and shows real Android release (which is 10 unfortunately).

I know it isn’t 12 as stated but specs is directly from landing page. Even was in contact with the manufacturer (zhou) that makes these private brands headunits and their software. It’s Junsun claims not “theirs” but nevertheless most won’t care about the Android version since it won’t make it more stable, faster or improve sound quality etc. that’s also why the launcher look the same on all these units since they are the same except small color changes and so. So it’s actually the “resellers” there makes the problem to sell theirs instead of the competition on sites like AliExpress but agree it sucks but sadly that’s what many expect from a “China” product but for the price it’s still bang for the buck. Nobody stops any for going the route with x4 in money spending for an Alpine, Sony or something. More important is to check the actually ram since they seem to send out 6GB even if you selected the 8GB where I personally would feel more “cheated” than with the Android version.

@@brevstgaard I have the 8GB version. They gave me a firmware file, did not update at all. I did compare my version to someone on XDA and i have a newer version as it seems. If i put my car in reverse, and after i start driving again the reverse function stays stuck and after some seconds the unit goes black. i need to shutdown my car, and start it again to get it back on. If yuou could tell me where to get the newest firmware, i would be happy. ANd i cannot even tell.. do i have the V1 plus or the V2 plus?

@hakaiyou4532 Sadly their support isn’t trustworthy on this regard neither. Asking their support they will in most cases say their ain’t any firmware updates or they will “let you know when there is”. You best bet is to look at the XDA Forums and find a newer file to flash. Just search for Junsun where you also can read how to find out the precise model number (4 digits) your unit has and sheet with access codes for the hidden menus etc. Sadly they ship with old firmware but anywhere under 100 when we talk firmware means it’s buggy. But each update fix problems and makes new. The easiest way to see if you’re on one of their worst early ones is icons on the Home Screen (widget) can’t be saved and will be reset on a power down.

In maximum a half year your device will be the older one and in fact already is since they’re cleaning these low screen resolution devices for the newer ones but you can tap one the code “160” in the code menu and that will give you the precise model code you got and then search for this on XDA 👍 their newest model’s either has a 2000x screen with higher nits or look like this instagram.com/reel/C58ALoLPzAe/?igsh=MW1pbmQwa2o2bHk3MQ==

Hi, try to follow this link xdaforums.com/t/junsun-9191-device-not-activated-help-request.4321773/#post-88366407 and download the license.zip-file. Make sure your junsun unit is connected to the internet (WiFi/4G) and first THEN insert the usb with the files from the license.zip. It needs to be unpacked at the root on the USB-file. If this doesn't work you need to contact seller/support and get an updated license file. 👍
