Good Job making this video. For those watching this to give an exam, there is one error in the video. Laplace transform is calculated from 0 to positive infinity, whenever only laplace transfrom is mentioned. The bilateral laplace transfrom is calculated from negative infinity to positive infinity.

I think you are trying to find a flaw, but it doesn’t matter. because that’s just another axis. It can be taken away or added per application. If you take a linear feedback device as an example, you could put zero in the middle and use one side as positive and the other negative. We could apply that to let’s say a proportional valve spool with zero being in the middle. In that case, his math makes sense. If we wanted the valve to act different on each side of zero, that’s when we would pull out that side of the equation, or just do the same equation twice.

This guy did a good job on presenting the subject, but you just wanted to show everyone you knew where zero is. Good job, but the 37 people that liked your comment are the only people that think you are smart. The rest of us are rolling our eyes at the pettiness.

It's good to learn control systems now , because our exams are cancelled now need of hurry to learn. Slow and steady wins the race . Thank you sir by uploading control systems . I never expected that.

just a minor correction: limits of integration should be 0 to + infinity. because laplace transform deals with signals starting from t=0.. for t

I think as you decribed in unit step function, it should be 1 if t is greater or equal to zero.

Laplace Transform is something you should know before starting this course of Control Systems, and it is discussed in details in Signal & System subject. This is the reason we’re only reviewing this topic and it will become more clear after we complete the next parts.

What happens to a unit function when t=0?

Most people don't consider this as important except in bigger control projects I think. But here's what I know, mathematicians say that u(t) is undefined when t=0, In most cases of application, we don't consider it as a problem, but as problems gets bigger and more complex, we substitute u(0) with 0.5.

if we define the laplace transform from -infinity then almost all of them end up as divergent instead of the presented values (which can be calculated if we go from 0), that's just evil homework to give

Why 0 to positive infinite?
@jyotshnasoren
@jyotshnasoren 2 жыл бұрын
Because in unit step function the value of -1 to -infinity is zero. So we consider the positive part only.

@@jyotshnasoren why does e^-0 = -1 , isn’t it 1 ??
@CalvinBitakis
@CalvinBitakis 6 ай бұрын
@@adebayoshitu4812 you're correct, it is 1... -(1/s) * [ e^(-inf) - e^(-0) ] = -(1/s) * [ 0 - 1 ] = 1/s
