Dude! Great review, and you have my complete agreement. I have and use several Olight products on the daily including the Baton 3. I tend to drop, forget outside, leave under the car seat… my stuff too. Have had zero issues. The baton 3 is EDC for me along with an OKC Rat 1, sparrows chaos card, and a few other cool gizmos. EDC can be an obsessive, addictive game! Subscribed. Thanks.

I’ve used Olights for years. Great for EDC. Reasonably priced. Highly dependable. Great warranty if something does go wrong.

I had an issue with my Baton 3 not charging for a while and I literally just fixed it but taking the battery out, reading it and putting it back in... and all of a sudden it started charging properly. Lol I had already replaced it with the sofirn sc21 which I actually think I prefer now, especially for the price point, but I'm glad my Baton 3 is working again.

I use the Olight Baton 3 as part of my EDC gear, and switch to my Olight 1500 lumens weapon light when needed. Had no issues with either.

It's amazing how many Olight haters there are, the main reason is that their production is in China even though it's American design. But that’s why Olight doesn’t empty your wallet like some other brands. In the end, everyone has the right to buy what they want for their money. I personally use Olight, Streamlight, Fenix and even Chinese Trustfire. Everyone has their advantages and even disadvantages, it is a matter of personal choice. I don’t see why people need to attack others for choosing a brand that may not be their favorite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

olight is designed in usa? it's a full chinese brand so i wonder about this, actually i cant find any proof to this. all i can find they are based and operated in shenzen and are founded there by chinese

The "catch on fire" alarm was mainly about the Warrior Mini, first Gen. I prefer the size of the Baton 3 and the fact that I got the package with mobile charger. Light output at 1200 Lumens is almost indistinguishable from the 1500 of the Warrior Mini at almost half the size and weight! The battery on the Baton 3, BTW, is unfortunately proprietary. Can't use CR123 or standard rechargeable RCR123 batteries, only Olight 16340. So even with these restrictions it's my favorite EDC flashlight! Thanks for the review! 🔦🔦🔦👊👍

Do you know if you double click you get turbo right?
@inhousescreen2 жыл бұрын
Also, triple click gives you strobe - and long press gives you moonlight mode.

Just ordered one. I’m trying to go light with my EDC after carrying a flashlight on my belt for years.

I've pretty much shelved all my Baton-X models. Short Turbo and short runtime batteries.

I have the Baton 3 Premium with the rechargeable case mainly because it's cool. I also have the Nebo Torchy which is about the same size and lumens for $35 and the Sofirn SC21, about same size and lumens, for $25. I would not just buy a regular Baton 3 though because it's overpriced, about twice as much, compared to the Nebo and Sofirn I've mentioned, and the Sofirn has better CRI too. Get the Baton 3 Premium if you must get an Olight because the rechargeable case is at least unique.

Safety question: I accidentally put my spare 21700 battery in a bag with a damp cloth (not dripping wet) when I travelled on the plane for 8 hours. Do you think the battery is good and safe to use? There were no droplets on the battery, just had a light mist of moisture. The battery looks sealed and good, but thought I should ask for your advice! Thanks

the Warrior 3 is Olight's edc light that, when not locked with its safety, can catch your pocket on fire.

I have quite a few lights no problem out of none of them and all flashlights chip if you actually use them and take them out of the case and put them in your pocket and keys and stuff rub up against them I have had $300 flashlights and they still rub chip only ones that don't are the ones you keep in a case on your side

I got a total of about an hour operational time out of mine and now it won't hold a charge or work for more than a few minutes and no turbo mode at all. It was the most disappointing $60+ I have ever spent.

Seems to me the battery is proprietary to olight the other brand batteries I have do not work in it

Great flashlight...super bright...but the high current drain comes at a price....batteries that dont last long. Ive had two and both failed suddenly..not a gradual decline as one would expect. They replaced the first no problem but not the second as it was over 1 year old. Im back to my fenix with a AA bat.

Clipping a flashlight to a cap doesnt shine onto hands, its just blinding other people. Everything else than a headlamp or key flashlight is odd.

I wouldn't consider that it's primary purpose, just an added bonus if the need arises.

hi. the battery is repleaceable? i would go with the version with no case but with a spare battery.
@paulpaule49342 жыл бұрын
Yes... The Akku is replaceable. But you need the original from Olight. Other brands will not work with the magnetic charging cable.
