When we had our cheap wallyworld pool, I got a second filter and used a broom to loosen up all the algae and let the filters suck up all the leaves. Then we just doubled the shock...lol

saltyshellback yeah I use to do the filter 24 hours then we went to 12 hours on 12 hours off, seems like might as well go back to 24 hours cause otherwise this pool is too much work! Lol

My problem with this vaccum is that every time I try to vacuum the dead algae it just spits it back out! The filter catches some of it, be it it’s recycling alot of the dead algae back out! Gow do I fix this? Because it had come to the point of me having to clean the filter every 2 mins of usage.

This vacuum is really only designed for weekly bottom cleaning small debris dirt leaf’s small sticks.

We had to get rid of that pool it got too nasty and stained because of the tree that was above it (don’t put a pool under a tree) and the deck is coming along! All the framing is done mostly, decking/flooring next. I’ll do a video update soon

Time to upgrade pump, filter and to a saltwater system. No more chemicals. No more green pool. It works great. The intex auto pool cleaner would then work. I vacuum and skim at the same time. Very nice! I bought the intex sand filter and saltwater system. Took 125 lbs of filter sand and 4 bags of pool salt. Have added no other chemicals and pool is crystal clear. Much nicer to swim in too.

I have one of those fake pools it’s filled with rocks damn near impossible to swim in.
