I just bought one on eBay and I should get it next week I also have viltrox 33mm f1.4 and will use that when I want to get close Best of both worlds for less than one Fuji lens

Would you say this lens would be good for a wedding photography ?
@AdamKozak1003 жыл бұрын
yes/ The f1.4 aperture gives nice shallow depth of field, good in low light. The lack of close focusing distance is annoying, so be careful when setting up your shot for the right moment

I wonder how the focusing speed compares to the F2

Love your images! Could you do a review of any other lenses you have for your Fujifilm?
@412foto3 жыл бұрын
Been tempted to get this and the f/2 is the big decision vs it. Just looked and minimum focus distance is almost 3 inches difference (Fujifilm f/2 can focus closer). Not sure how often I will want or need this but it is nice to have. Guess now I am still on the fence.

Yes thats quite an important factor, actually. For me, anyways. Its a bit annoying at times all I do is step back. Plus I have a macro lens I can whip out if I really want a macro shot.

23/f2 ended up being my least fav Fuji lens and first one I sold. Close focusing may work a few inches closer, but you have to stop down otherwise the photos are mushy. This Viltrox has been night and day better for my purposes. Now if Fuji ever comes out with a new 23/f2 like the one one the 100v, that might be worth it.

Awesome review and sample photos, but the minimum focus distance is deal breaker for me. I ended up getting the 23mm f2 for the WR, close minimal focus distance, clicking aperture ring, the size and the price is surprisingly cheaper (at least for me here in Japan) than the Viltrox. Thanks for your honest review, SUBBED!

also a good option. I've been stalled during shooting many times, as the lens is too close to the subject and I have to backup an inch or two..its frustrating. I never thought it would be that big a downside, but it is

@@AdamKozak100 Yeah, I learned from experience with the 85mm f1.8. Amazing glass!!! But that minimal focus distance kills the joy out of using it.

Are you still satisfied with this lens shooting your KZbin videos?
@AdamKozak1003 жыл бұрын
YES. For youtube, casual shooting, walking around with friends and family, this is a great lens. It's also great in low light,...f1.4 is important when shooting crop sensor in low light
