This truly might be the worst-designed knife I've ever used. Imagine taking all the time to add the copper scales and adjustable thumb stud to only have it be so hard to open with said thumb stud in any position it actually breaks your thumb nail after many possible adjustments and makes your thumb bleed. Did anyone even try to QC this? Also, the lanyard hole jingles due to a poor fit and finish. This might have been a simple fix without a proprietary pivot screw, but alas you are at the mercy of terrible design without an easy adjustment. You can get a better designed knife from Ganzo for $10 what a joke. Complete shitshow of a knife.

I agree it definitely is not the greatest of designs. It’s a meh knife to me. It doesn’t hurt my thumb when I open it at least not yet. It definitely has terrible action though… the whole knife design to me seems to have been rushed which I think is why a lot of Gerber designs outside the USA manufactured ones fail a lot. The knife does not seem $40 quality in todays standards. The only cool thing about the knife really is the copper on black but I definitely would recommend a different model.

@@cacknives2671 It doesn't hurt if you don't spend an hour straight trying to flip it open consecutive times without failing. But I was reluctant to give up. Eventually I tried mounting the thumb stud on the other side to not much avail and went back to the original side. Thats when I realized the stud had a D shape on the rear side. So, if you turn it around, it will move further up the knife. This change made it a lot easier to flip open.
