This is a video of my MTW 308 and how it is basically a regular MTW with a different magazine as well as what I did to change the exterior of the replica. This was filmed on August 20th, 2024.

What sort of range are you getting with it? I'm looking at buying one to run with .4g bb's at 450fps, i just wanna make sure it'll be worth it I already own the M4 MTW and the range is awesome with .28g bb's so I just wanna make sure it's actually worth me buying a whole new replica for the better range

@@Robert16689 stock at 100 psi using .3 BBs I am able to shoot with sight over hop to about 220 feet. Accuracy wise I can put my groupings in a pie plate at 120ish feet 2/3 shots. It’s definitely a fun replica but honestly I saw no huge difference in range or accuracy between the Article one, MTW-9, regular MTW or the MTW 308 when using .30’s shooting at 1.5 jules for each of them!

@chandler5624 thanks for the quick reply! Good information as well:) In the UK i am limited to 350fps on a .2g bb for assault rifle limits (full auto) and for DMR limits i can go to 450fps (semi auto only) hense my interest Do you think I'd notice a considerable difference in range? I just don't want to spend all that money to then be disappointed that i could achieve the same results by just using heavier weights in my current MTW M4

@@Robert16689 personally from taking the 308 apart and re-assembling it I noticed that the exact same parts in regards to the hop up, engine and barrel used on the airsoft MTW M4 variant were utilized on the 308 variant so theoretically you should have the same performance with the 308 as a regular MTW. So in my opinion if your field allows a M4 to use DMR classifications and Jule limits I’d personally just run the MTW you already have and save the money unless you just really want the look and feel of a 308 in airsoft! ☺️

I also own the MTW-308, but not a normal MTW. I lift .40g bbs at a level 8.5 on the hop-up. So a little room to spare. This was only possible after switching to a 4UAD bucking and the nub that comes with the 4UAD. I run it at almost 130psi (that's about 450fps with .2s like most field limits are for DMRs) It can lift .43s as well but they cost more. The range is about the same as my HPA Tac-41 so im pleased since now it's effectively a semi-auto sniper. A foam filled suppressor makes it WAY more quiet than without. No one could hear me shooting. I think you could do the same with your normal MTW by changing the bucking and barrel length. But the place I go won't allow M4s to be DMRs. The Mtw-308 is "semi-locked" so it passes the requirements. I have a 6.05 420mm EDGI barrel in the mail since I plan on using the included extension to make it 16inch instead of 14.5. The extra 2 inches lets me achieve the 450 fps while using less psi. (tested with a donor brass barrel.) Good luck.

Dude the 308 is a DMR replica and meets all standards to be a DMR
