I got one iP3000 I have to get another. I am glad Turbosound is making the iQ and iP series. I just retired 65 and I wanted to buy a new small PA. I have been in Live Sound, Sound Contractor, DJ and a Musician all my life. I bulldozed all of my old gear into my garage. I put some iQ-118's, iQ-112 in place of tons of cables and racks. I guess Turbosound and Midas is my Bucket List sound gear.

I stumbled upon the ip3000 and your review. Very nice. A couple questions: what is the approximate weight of the sub section? Are these meant to be run like a traditional PA with the array in front of the band or are these like the Bose where ideally each musician has their own array and it's placed behind he musician to function as both FOH and monitor? Thank you.

John Gembka You can use them either way. When I use them for my solo stuff, I set them behind me which is what it their designed for. But, when I use them in a live sound configuration, I use them as front-of-house speakers. Now on to the weight of the sub. The sub is around 90 lbs. It's heavy but with the wheelboard, it makes them much easier for transport.

Just to answer the weight questions, the bass module weighs 84lbs and the tops weigh a total of just about 30lbs. Hope that helps.

I just picked up my IP3000 but having issue getting the App to start up on my Galaxy 9. How do you get them to communicate? I have the bluetooth connected to speaker already but app won't start up, it just stuck in scanning mode.

Apparently IP3000 for iOS only. The ip2000 (version 2 is an update to use on Android)

When using only one, for dj use, for 50-100 people... will that be enough (bass)...? I’m looking for this type of collum speaker but I want only one for super easy setup.
@BluesCat19805 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah. Plenty of bass. The thing I have learned about these IP3000's is that they produce an even bass dispersion. Not loud and thumpy.
@stevendesteven36685 жыл бұрын
Ok thank you, think I’m gonna give it a try.

Thanks for the video! great job!,, Bass question: How "loud" is the bass?(when you crank it up) I know it can output 130 SPL overall but strictly talking about bass output, how is it? can you feel a chest thump out of these? In your opinion would these kill the new EV Evolve 50's ? (bass wise) you think? or how about QSC K-12's with K-subs?... is it about that kinda level of bass?? I currently use 2x Bose L1 with 2x B2 subs..... I love my bose, they sound great and the bass is OK but I want something with even more "feeling" to it.
@rtaulbee6 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony. IMO, if you want to "feel" bass, you need to move air. Nothing will move air like big 'ole 18" subs. Personally, I would take 1-18" sub over 2-12" subs any day. Granted with 2, IP3000s, you're using 4 subs to move air. I actually have a video demonstrating that. I fired up 2 IP2000s and then turned on the 18". Making sure to use headphones or good speakers, you can hear the change in depth very easily. Here's that video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5qXnZidoJxssKs

Ryan You also have to take into consideration that the IP2000 uses a bit different way of delivering sound that traditional speakers. When you use an 18" it gives you more low end yes, but when you consider that the IP3000 is 2×12 sub configuration, it's moving double the air of a 1x12. When you add the circumfrence of the 2x12 it becomes 6 inches more than the 18". But, there are so many variables such as how the cabinet is ported, the efficiency of the speaker or speakers, and the over wattage being fed or what the speaker can handle. When you talk about subs, you really need to compare 18's to 18's and so on and so forth.

Hi Robert - I was referring to his question about the BOSE L1 Subs and how he wants to feel more bass, so I suggested 18" subs. Not really talking physics, just a simple answer of what should give more "Feel" for him.

Ryan When these are turned up, you can definitely "feel" the bass. Especially with the IP3000.

Which model ( 2x tops n two subs) between Bose F1 system and ip3000 has more volume n more base ????
@BluesCat19805 жыл бұрын

My company received ip3000 too. I did a comparison video of both model. Ip3000 far better in audio quality

Eric Chee Well of course. Everything on them is improved from IP2000.

I own 2 ip2000 how much louder is it and can you feel the bass a lot more then the 2000’s
@BluesCat19806 жыл бұрын
Dj Verrett First off, people need to get past the point of how loud it gets. It's not about how loud they get but more about the clarity and projection of the music. Because of the way these work, it's not about getting loud, but more about quality. With that said, yes this is louder. It is 1000 watts more powerful than IP2000 and it has a 2x12 sub cabinet and the drivers are 3 5" versus the smaller drivers of the IP2000. To add to that, it has two 1" horn drivers in the top for better high frequency reproduction. The only reason I mention about volume, is because you cannot necessarily view these like a standard speaker. They don't necessarily need to be really loud to be great sounding. The maximum SPL (sound pressure level) that these IP3000 systems will put out is 130 db. I hople this helps.

Robert Sampson hi Robert, do you think a pair of IP2000s are powerful enough for a 4 piece band in small to medium venues? Or, should I maybe just get 1x IP3000? The thing is, we like to run in stereo and only using one speaker won't allow that :/
@rtaulbee6 жыл бұрын
Hi Darren.. Without a doubt 2 IP2000s is plenty. I have several videos on my channel using them in outdoor areas, in large rooms, and with my band. Here's an example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6i1iWSBoNKeeac

Ryan thanks Ryan. I'll order with confidence now :)

Ryan just came back to thank you for your advice. I bought 2x ip2000 and they sound amazing! The best thing is the ease of transport and setup etc. I would have loved the ip3000's but they are just too expensive here in Australia :/

Hey Robert, just got a pair of these. Will be doing an outdoor car show with them this weekend. Can’t wait to put them to the test. I don’t like the flimsy case that Turbosound makes for them so I came up with a hard case alternative. Please check it out on my channel and comment if you can. Thanks for the good video.

So they get louder then the ip2000 just kidding. I no the difference between these and standard type speakers I also have qsc k10’s with two kw181. But if your playing out side you do need more volume and harder hitting bass for certain events. Type of events that the ip2000’s can’t handle. Was just curious if it’s worth it to invest in two ip3000 to use at events that I would normally use my qsc. These type of speakers are the future.
