Yup, knew it was going to be a winner two years ago when I had my hands on it at Ragnarock. Took my Lynx, courtesy of the Foam Pro Shop team, to Atomic last month and was extremely pleased with it. Glad you put the chrony numbers up because I was puzzled at your early claim in the video. For those wondering, the Lynx easily hits 250 with a 10 kg spring load, decent seal, and longer scar-less barrel. With the scar installed (and a shorter barrel) it drops to around 235 in my experience.

My only issue is with the painted springs and the aluminum guide barrel in the catch, the paint has been scraping off the inside of my SF25-TC and depositing on the o-ring. Same thing is happening with the edges of the aluminum guide barrel so I get aluminum flecks on there too. That's been most of my maintenance, just popping out the catch and plunger assembly to clean flakes of material out. That being said, it was a dream to build, easy to print the parts, and I used it at a game in San Jose recently (where I met Dan himself) and it was, as Luke said, incredibly accurate and powerful. Definitely picky about darts though, AF Pros are definitely its favorite.
@raedien3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you need a spring with a wider diameter. A lot of people use long shot springs but they tend to bunch up and contact the spring guide.
@reedpratt19853 жыл бұрын
@@raedien like I said, I'm using the sf25-TC, which is a talon claw spring. It's recommended by Dan and used in silverfox's lynxes. Either other people have this issue and don't care or there's something wrong with mine. But you're right, the similar power spring that Dan sends out I don't recall having that issue with, that spring just eats my prints because neither end is rounded.
@raedien3 жыл бұрын
@@reedpratt1985 yeah, my ends aren't flat either but I'm so happy with the performance I'll deal with it for now.

Love my Lynx, also got mine from SFI but I really have to experiment with springs and barrel lengths since mine's hitting lower than I'd like. There's an extended stock on thingiverse that makes it so much more comfy for people with longer arms and I recommend a pouch on your hip so you can just gravity drop the mags straight into it for convenience.
@raedien3 жыл бұрын
I use the thicker stock plate and enjoy it quite a bit. You'll want to check your seal if it isn't hitting how you want. The scar has an impact on fps and the blaster kinda demands fresh, quality darts. This is based on handling several beyond my own. I recommend AF half lengths.

@@outofdarts Spring tension was too high for advertised amount of darts. Obviously that could be dealt with over time or with modification. Size was not comfortable to play with. That can be a personal thing but humans are more alike then they are different. The volume seemed like an odd choice as well. The most common competitive format in our growing hobby tends to put players at roughly 50 rounds each. Obviously you could simply run 2x25 but considering the aforementioned issues it just seemed weird you went with 29. *shrug* Just not for me.
