Love this airline, have travelled Melbourne to London several times, and each trip has been lovely. The crew are genuine, attentive and gun. The cleanest planes, I have ever flown. Good good. I can only afford economy, but love it.

I worked in Brunei Darussalam for several years and flew regularly on RBA. In those days they operated the 777 on longhaul routes and the Heathrow service was via Dubai. Business Class passengers could use the lounge in Dubai and there was always a scramble to disembark, go through transit security and spend as much time as possible in the lounge to get a couple of drinks. The crews were always excellent and I miss my time in “The Abode of Peace”.

I totally agree with you. They have never failed to impress me. Being a Malaysian, I don't mind the transit from Kota Kinabalu, as it is my preferred airline. Try flying with children, its even more impressive. Truly a very genuine airline to fly with

I was flying Royal Brunei a few times in Economy more as 15 years ago from Frankfurt to Bangkok. Even in this time it was a pleasure to fly with Royal Brunei. In this time they have had a song "Royal Brunei is Asians best" and yes, it was. I really regret that the not more fly from Frankfurt. It's nice to see that is still very good. Thanks for your videos, I like the style you make it very much.

Royal Brunei was the very first flight I went on to Australia in 1998 as a kid. They was amazing and I would love to try them again, they looked after us very well made sure we was never hungry or thirsty.

Very happy that you like RB cabin crew service. I was their crew in the 90s and early 2000s and being a small airline, we beat the giants as we were awarded the best first class service for 2 consecutive years! Cabin crew have always been the asset for RB, genuine and lots of smile❤

My wife and I flew with Royal Brunei 9 years ago Melbourne-London with stops in Brunei and Dubai on their 787 Dreamliner, they were still very new planes when we flew. We had great flights in both directions with them, the crew went above and beyond and I ended up chatting away to the crew for a long time and they were very open and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again. My only disappointment was at Brunei airport they were upgrading the airport and a lot of work was going on and the aircon wasn't working so it was over 40c in the airport so everyone couldn't wait to get back on the plane for some cool air haha. On the flight they served us these pastie type food items that had a lattice of pastry, not sure what it was but we both loved it and I regret not asking the crew what it was as it was really delicious. 5*

I with my Filipina partner have flown Royal Brunei myself going from London Heathrow to Manila Philippines with a change at Brunei to an Airbus for the local flight to Manila and we were flying in economy, The service was extremely good and the price of the flight was good also and if the price is good again I will 100% use them again.

I flew this airline four times economy more than 10 years ago, including to/from Australia. I had great experiences with very nice cabin crew and very filling and tasty meals, that were larger than on other airlines. The on screen entertainment consisted only of the flight map with the direction to Mecca, so take your own entertainment such as a book, iPad, etc. Overall, the flights reminded me of flying in the past when flying was rarer, and a special experience when “getting there was half the fun.”

Have used RB over and over, from Australia-UK and vice-versa, since the days they flew the 777. Have always found their flights, and service to be top notch. We will continue to use them.

Another fantastic video Josh! As displayed in your Spice Jet video, the flight crew can make or break a flight and on Royal Brunei they seemed very genuine and wanting to go the extra mile for you. Customer Service is everything! Spice Jet execs should take a lesson from this video. And still poking fun at Malaysia Airlines haha😂

Been there done that in 2015, flew Heathrow -Bandar-Melbourne, I'm a bit like you, I decided that flying out of Heathrow was cheaper. Alright by kicking the passengers off in Dubai at 0300 was a little over the top. You're right about the small airline, same aircraft from Bandar to Melbourne, nice little economy class suite, pretty comfortable, food service was good, although in economy there is no menu card, which could be improved, my choice was meat or fish. Arrival into Melbourne early about 0500. On the way back it was really good again, although quite full, as far as Bandar. The flight from Melbourne to Bandar is only 6.5 hours, after going through security again, we had a couple of hours to kill before going off to Heathrow. I was sat two rows from the rear bulkhead, same as before, meat or fish, breakfast served 90 minutes before arrival into Heathrow, consisted of an omelette, veal sausage, mushrooms. The quality of the food was superb and the crew were great.

I love these reviews of the more exotic airlines! It’s too bad that they had the same generic 787 Business Class of many other carriers . I had a similar experience with AZAL on their 787 where the screen was fairly small and far away.

Ive been binge watching your channel today, watched all your raw reviews on the most exotic airlines I've never heard of until today and boy oh boy, imagine the surprise I had when I found out you also made reviews on my country's airline! Glad you enjoyed the flight! Lol the last three vids I watched before this was you getting upset over the Tunisia airlines, then the gov sanctioned iranian flight and that dramatic Air peace airlines, I was like "I hope RB dont screw anything up.." and after watching this vid, I just laughed it off, how dumb am I to even doubt RBA's topnotch service! My childhood memory of my first RBA flight to Kota Kinabalu, how the flight attendence served us welcoming drinks during that very short 20-30mins flight. Then the 8 hr RB flight to London where I fondly remember being so full from the complimentary instant noodles and drinks..and the crew trying to give me assurance during flight turbulance🤣. BRUNEIAN HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST. So proud of RBA. Kudos!

Josh Cahill I have been lately watching your reviews and it’s great. You are being as honest as possible and most importantly you are being natural and not putting up an act. Well done. I had the opportunity to fly the shortest route I ever had from Bandar Ser Begawan to Kota Kinabalu. I recall they even offered us drinks and small snack. That was interesting. It was a spotless A319. I think the flight time was around 15 minutes.

Just booked with these in September to go from Heathrow to Brisbane, couldn't believe the price compared to Etihad and Emirates...... £600 return against £1050 from both of the others (and all flights taking off and landing within 1-2 hours of each other, same dates, so basically the same travel and landing times). Looking forward to seeing what I've booked! Lol.

@@chucklesome1 brilliant. I'd go with them again no problem. Obviously it's a dry airline, but as I'm a non-drinker, that didn't bother me. And it was worth paying the £25 to go in the executive lounge at Brunei. The showers and food were superb.

I've flown with R.B a lot of times now. It's the most peaceful, international experience. No alcohol policy ( business exception) means no disruption from obnoxious passengers. It surprises me how many Aussies can't go 26 hrs without grog. Booking is arduous on their website, so best to book through a 3rd party. The reviewer states you can bring alcohol on board, but that's not favoured. Best to show cultural respect for other passengers. There is a vibe to fit into and prayers said prior to take off. This is a good, honest review

It is genuine, i tried several different airlines before. But whenever i fly with royal brunei, the crew seems genuinely nicer. I knew that cabin crews are not required to stow passenger’s hand luggage into the overhead compartment, the crews from RBA are always willing to help anyway.

Just recently a crew from this airline went viral in Malaysia because he was helping a senior citizen eat. He was basically feeding the old man and cleaned up after him after. Such a heartwarming thing to see

In the 80's the only entertainment was on 1 screen at the front of the cabin. You had to purchase headphones that plugged into a jack & it was in mono & also had music . Then came in flight phones that required a kings ransom to use. Now we are spoiled with all the gear we have available to pass the time on a flight. At 6'3" the most important thing for me on a flight is leg room.

Tell you something new, As an Asian, we tend to like dry rice because they kind of have that bouncy feel in it so yeah you are in an Asian airline maybe you will get that kind of DRY rice.

I haven't as yet flown with royal Brunei but I am hoping to next year to get to Europe/UK; what I especially like is that the prices are usually one of the lowest and that they don't serve alcohol. I'm not anti alcohol or a teetotaller but I honestly don't know why some people think that it is their right to get drunk on a flight which so often leads to an argument or a fight. I could say a lot worse than what has already been posted on here about their laws which I despise with every bone in my body but this is about their airline of which I have heard only good things from those that have flown with them. I would love to spend a couple of days in Brunei too and I believe that you can do a tour of the oil fields there which would be fascinating.

Wow!! I have enjoyed your videos, but for me to miss this for almost 2 years is embarrassing. Royal Brunei looks fantastic, even without alcohol (you said I could bring my own?). I was a flight attendant many moons ago, but the smile on that crew's face and the service you received will make me fly that airline as soon as the restrictions are released. To be honest, I believe you are a little bit fussy/particular on the service at times, but you are always sincere. I'm in Minnesota, USA, and this past season I spent a substantial amount of time fishing in ice shacks, which would probably kill you, so even an Air Blue flight for me would great!

Looks ok, but nowadays business class with 2-2-2 config is not appealing for me, since a lot of airlines have 1-2-1 config. For flights over 6hrs I fly business class
