I ordered one of these today to use with a Kubota U35-4. Looking forward to working with it!

I would like to get one for my excavator but it has an open cab. Just wondering if there is a lot of debris that comes back on the windshield. I would be adding a poly shield on front of machine when using the cutter. I have a disc mulcher on my skid steer and it has a lot of flying debris.

Do you normally charge by the job? Just curious . I have one similar to that.

I just got the 36 inch tree slayer from Rut and love it I’m running it on a Hyundai that’s only putting out 14GPM it is cutting everything I want it to cut very impressive

Definitely a good company to deal with.

Which Hyundai do you have. I have an R35z. Thinking of buying one of these.

I’m considering the 42” mini mulcher but not many or any videos of it out, that I can find. All the videos seem to have the 28”
@grade-aland23883 жыл бұрын
Mini mulcher looks like a good design.

Thank you for your time answering these questions. Do you feel this would be a good choice for blackberry vines? Here in Oregon we have allot of black berry’s and they grow in a giant bush sometimes to 8’ tall. The brush hog on the farm tractor will back over them and pulverize them but now with having a large enough machine Kubota u55 we are considering RUT but we’re not sure if a flail mower would be better
@grade-aland23882 жыл бұрын
Does good on different types of vines here, and the vine cutter on it eliminates tangled around the hub. The U55 a good size machine, you might be good with the 42in.

Where can I get more information on one ?

I've been looking at that myself. I have an e-35. I noticed that it looses speed with boom functions, is that obnoxious or is it manageable. I want one for the reach.
@grade-aland23883 жыл бұрын
It still cuts pretty good, I try let it spoil up before cutting bigger material. So far I’m happy with it.

I have an E35 also. What control activates the cutter motor - the thumb control?
@grade-aland23883 жыл бұрын
Yes, on mine it has 2 auxiliary ports the one the thumb is hooked to is the one with larger diameter lines. I run the cutter on the feed. On the dash on mine you have to hold button down for constant flow option.

Why does the motor stop and start

How dark did you go on the tint and is it ever too dark if you get into woods or anything? 30%?
@grade-aland23882 жыл бұрын
If I remember correct, 20 on the sides and 35 on the front window. Visibility is good up until it gets dark. It’s ok during the day though. I need to get LED for night work.

I just picked up a E35 and was planning on getting that cutter from rut. How do you like it's so far?

Love it definitely worth the price!

Do you disconnect you hoses from your thumb or have auxiliary hose hook ups?

You still happy with this? I have the same E35 but with the smaller engine and am thinking about this for personal use around my pond and along the driveway.
@grade-aland23882 жыл бұрын
Yes, haven’t had a bit of trouble out of it. Definitely nice for hard to reach places

Would this work on a kx71-3 kubota. Looking for something like this to mow the side of my dam. Just grass no trees
@grade-aland23882 жыл бұрын
I think it would do just fine.
@scottgreer97802 жыл бұрын
Why don't you keep it energized ? Are you operating this on a thumb switch?
@scottgreer97802 жыл бұрын
@NOAH OAKES do you even understand the question? Of course it's hydraulic. Just go away.
@stevem67112 жыл бұрын
That's what I thought, he needs to use continuous flow to allow the cutter head to get to full speed. The momentum and weight of cutting at speed would make it more effective.

I have a 2007 335 G Bobcat mini excavator do you think it would do okay on it?
@grade-aland23883 жыл бұрын
That’s a good size machine I’d say it would work ok. Call the guys at RUT they can spec you one out.
@johnnytolley6732 жыл бұрын
I did end up purchasing this one and it works real good on my machine

Because he won't let it rip. Keeps bumping it. Needs continuous feed.

*Man that would be handy to have! What do they cost?* #WorldsOkayestFarmer

Sure is! They’ve went up since I first got it. On there site 3,328. Still cheaper than others in the same specs. Have had no issues with it.

Don’t look like that machine has enough flow to operate that cutter , looks weak
@ClinttheGreat2 жыл бұрын
That machine has 16.9 gpm hydraulic flow and the max for cutter is 20 gpm, so he’s not far from the max. In part of the video, it sounds like it spools up and then down, not continuous flow. A lot of these cutters have an auto spool down “safety” feature. I wonder if that machine requires you to hold a trigger or push a button to keep the flow going and he’s not doing it.
@williamthigpen44802 жыл бұрын
@@ClinttheGreat it does have a button for aux hydraulics
@ClinttheGreat2 жыл бұрын
@@williamthigpen4480 that would likely explain the spooling up and down.
@dukeboy-6645 Жыл бұрын
Probably needs to set it to hammer mode for continuous flow
@Chris-bn5cv Жыл бұрын
@@dukeboy-6645 You're right. It says right on their website to run it on hammer mode.
