I was worrying that the soft plastic would hinder the articulation compared to super hero ultimate gohan. It visually looks better but overall is this a step backward when compared to ultimate gohan and ssj4 gokou.

​@TheTabbyNeko wasn't a huge fan of ultimate gohand articulation honestly. The ssj4 goku could pull of the kamehameha, but gohan struggled like every other goku. This one seems like it'll be the same. So worse than goku but about the same as ultimate gohan is how I see it.

@pletho79 No, I agree his is better, but he still can't pull off the pose effectively like Ssj4 Goku. Yes, he can cross his arms much more than this new one. But I just find it doesn't help much with pulling off some of the poses I'd like to with Ultimate Gohan. Though I guess I'll wait and see how much worse or not beast gohan is when I get mine.

So I have a theory the soft plastic that were used on these figures were made before the chainsaw man figures came out and they might’ve been lazy to change it

Thank you for the review. Wtf was the point of the soft upper torso? Did they really sacrifice the articulation just to not have a segmented torso? He does look good in some poses, but I almost would rather have a 3rd party company knock this off, but use the torso from Ultimate Gohan.

Beast gohan is more of a stoic character so the limited articulation fits in with the poses he does.

DF is apparently releasing future gohan and buu saga gohan (again) pretty soon so you it won't be long till its complete

It actually is fully sculpted underneath, but sadly the waist looks very thin and the gi is basically glued to his back

@@KreoSpree thanks I have no idea why they decided on having it glued. I assume they didn’t want us to use it as a base body for other characters, but this decision to glue it has greatly changed my decision to buy it.

I have the DL customs headsculpt on my Gohan but this looks good too, having alternatives is always a good thing for everyone. Now it's time to wait for when the Gohan ssj2 event exclusive figure to go on p-bandai at some point and the radiz

me personally I think aesthetically this figure is just about perfect, the sculpt of the hair, clothes and the superb expressions, along with the hands and special beam cannon effect make him very appealing. when I heard, they were going to make the top of his Gi a rubber plastic I got worried because I feared it would interfere with the figures ability to articulate and I have to say, in my opinion, it does. Which, if you like to take photos of your figures posing, then it really stinks because he can't do as much as like the super saiyan 4s or even the ultimate Gohan that dropped not too long ago. the gap between the rubber Gi and the shoulder sleeve looks ugly and makes me wonder why they didn't just reuse the ultimate Gohan body. it's not like they are afraid of reusing body sculps, and they wouldn't be missing much in terms of details needed. I don't know why they have been sculpting butts on their figures as of late, but that needs to stop. Articulation gets taken away for seemingly no apparent reason. The SS4s, ultimate Gohan, and Jiren all have this annoying problem. Orange Piccolo isn't far from being released and it makes me worried about his problems with the Gi top, articulation, and posing because he also seems to be sharing (in all the photos I've seen of him officially and from people at the events where he's displayed) the same problems that Gohan and the other figures mentioned do. However, my opinions may change when I get Beast in hand, and I'm still very excited to get him and Orange Piccolo. just my thoughts with the recent figures they have put out.

It baffles me how this figure has worse articulation than the 1.0s but costs TWICE as much even though it has less shading. Tamashii Nations has taken 2 steps forward but 3 steps back.

Pretty solid release, not a big fan of the super hero cgi extra plasticy look from the movie but it’s nice to see an accurate figure good Q.C and also a nice effect piece ! They are usually quite lazy and cheap with putting extras in these days, if 3rd party companies can do it tamashii have 0 excuse

@game_low7219 There's a special beam cannon affect, a hand affect for it, a face for base Gohqn going beast, and you get a whole battle damaged body, I think it's worth putting in the extra $30 for the official figure, but DL faces look pretty alright too.
