sorry if this is too late, but use the -10 db mode too if you can (he doesnt talk about it but you put it right by your mouth and it eliminated background noise)

its the room he is in. if you watch other reviews where they talk about it where they are using it there is no echo. or he may have been using the omni-directional setting where i have read that it does pick up some echos in rooms

I am glad I had the change to see this review. I bought my computer and the audio on this was not working so I thought I give this a super try. For the records NEVER US APPLE AIRPODS TO WORK AND CALL CENTER WORK while working from home due to battery and other issues. But nevertheless this mic and plugging a 3mm headset to it works like a charm. Great review!!!

Looks cool. I'm debating over the cad u1 and the samson go mic. The Cad U1 is a dyanamic mic and the samson go mic is a condenser mic. My surrounding isn't that noisy, but it is a little so a dynamic mic can be a bit better, but I don't know if I want to sacrafice quality for that. Right now on amazon, the samson go mic is only a dollar more. Which one should I get?

@atomicdischarge CORRECTION HE IS WRONG! If you buy a USB to 3.5mm jack adapter from somewhere like amazon (I looked it up, saw a wentronic one where you have to have an extra cord to use but it doesn't really matter) and plug the 3.5mm out into your camcorder, and the USB in (make sure it's usb in, not out or you've got the wrong product) to the mic. Sorry about being a week later than your original reply but better late than never as long as you haven't already bought a substitute!

I wonder what it sounds like in a room that doesn't have lots of reverb like the one you're in. You wouldn't do vocals or a podcast in a reverb-drenched room.

@ThinSkyline Only if your doing demo's and probably low cost productions. It's no where near the quality of a pro mic. You can hear it's not even as good as his desk mic. If it's all you can afford though then get whatever you can use.

I am using it to record with my android phone. It works with the following as I have personally tested it, and it works far better than any under-$30 microphone using a miniplug and as a condenser mic, and it is so good that I personally know a professional court reporter who routinely uses it for depositions (it's how I learned about it). What you need: OTG USB Cable on the go needed, I used the Star Tech one here: StarTech.com SDCOTG USB OTG Adapter www.amazon.ca/StarTech-com-SDCOTG-Tab-Connect-Tab-Thumb-Keyboards/dp/B00AC8NP02 Then, in combination with that I'm using a Moto X with Android 4.4.2 and finally using the USBAudioRecorderPro on the app store (7 bucks, but you can run a trial version first). You must have an OTG (on the go) USB connector to hook the microphone to its included cable to the OTG cable to the android device, otherwise the android device will not 'see' the Go Mic.
