No one was talking about Samsung's wireless headphones when it was called gear iconx and now they have named it samsung galaxy buds and everyone is talking about it as if it was Samsung's first wireless earpiece, and know that gear iconx (released a few months before the airpods) was already better than the aipords but more expensive though (200$+). Galaxy buds is just a cheaper gear iconx 2018...

I think that the AirPods are just not right for so many people’s ears due to the shape of them. I can’t really wear them without them hurting while in my ears. The galaxy buds have a more customizable fit with the wing tips and ear tips and sit further in your ear leading to better overall sound isolation. I ordered a pair of galaxy buds due to these factors. I also already own a Samsung wireless charger so charging them before I go to bed will be a breeze. However, I do wish that the case battery life was a bit Better with the case itself for long plane flights and stuff like that. It’s not bad but it could be better. I am very excited about getting my galaxy buds!

And apple air pods we're never the best sounding in it's segment Yes it has the best battery life and the best or simplest way of connecting but we're never the best sounding airpods and that's a fact even tough audio is subjective . Most of reviews put the sound quality under construction chategory. Do u wanna one more fact the gear icon x from last year had better audio quality that the airpods but we're not a s simple to connect or pair with the phone . I have the AirPods, but I don't use them when riding the bus. I use my Bose QuietControl 30, which allows me to actively adjust the noise cancelling. They sound great, but they sound even better when I use the Equalizer App by Audioforge. I can adjust the Equalizer settings to however I want, and it even adjusts itself to prevent distortion and clipping. The AirPods are much easier to pair, without having to go through permissions, unlike the Galaxy Buds.

Remember when everyone was praising the pixel buds 😂 when’s the last time anyone’s seen them in the wild by more than that one person that one time? I remember ppl being fooled thinking the real-time translation feature was exclusive to the pixel buds, when the same real-time translation by google had already been available for 3 years from Google’s own Translate app available to anyone with any smartphone 🙄 , which is a pretty great app by the way. I use it a ton and have recommended to ppl who also have found it useful.

Why are you trying to open the case one handed?? What purpose does it serve? Are you going to try and insert the buds one-handed? (Not knocking people with only one hand/arm) The buds are magnetically connected to the case, so having one pop out isn't going to happen very easy. Did you try the other size wings?? 3 years behind? The original iconX were released BEFORE the airpods. And if you think the airpods with their plastic round molded ear piece is more comfortable than the galaxy buds and their variety of ear tips, you're off your rocker. The airpods have one size and if your ears aren't that size, you're out of luck. Sound is subjective. Everyone is going to have different levels of hearing/hearing loss. Some of your negatives are just so fan-boyish. I realize this is an apple channel, but come on, give an honest review, even if a non-apple product does better.

As said barely beat a three year old product, and the sound is subjective, i.e. like. I use the the air pods for out and about to be able to hear what's happening around me, whilst working at the desk I use in ear beats X. Both Samsung and pods look like towels, just one is further in, you like what you like. There both great products and work well in and out of their own ecosystems, neither will beat wired cans but then wired cans will not beat full speakers in a sound room with you sat in position 'X', horses for course and there are lots of them.

These kinds of products, to me, are just for short use and when sound doesn't matter too much anyway. For anything more than some workout, I'll always reach for my QC35. Tiny earphones are never going to cut it for me, compared to full-sized over-ear.

I have the galaxy buds using them on an iPhone X, trying not to be biased but I’m disappointed in the galaxy buds! My brother has the AirPods and the quality just sounds better on the AirPods! The only thing I can say is the buds feel comfortable when in your ear but I prefer the AirPods! In calls is so much better and music! I guess the buds should be better with a galaxy since you can adjust things! But on iPhone is not the best! AirPods are Better

I still prefer my AirPods because they are easier to pair and the long “Q-tip” design makes it easy to get in and out of my ear. I also like how I can hear some outside noise so I can still have some situational awareness when I’m outside. I use my Bose QC-35 when I’m indoors and want the best sound quality.

Buds are trash trash trash 🗑. Glad there’s finally a thorough review emphasizing the drawbacks compared to AirPods. The stupid-long setup process that’s passed off as “apple-like” by other reviewers like MKBHD, URAVGconsumer, etc, the difficultly of opening them one handed, the sorry-ass extra 7 hours of charge in the case (AirPods case has 24 extra hours of charge, and 5 hours playtime per AirPod is fine by me compared to the buds 7 hours), and the case itself is not as sleek and easy to fit in your mini-pocket above the real pocket of your jeans, and don’t forget the buds have those removable silicone fins and ear tips...removable means lose-able...or eventual they’ll wear out to the point the tight fit becomes not-so-snug and they start falling off more easily. I know bc I had jaybirds before I got the AirPods on release day...and I never looked back. If you think the buds are “better”, ok fine, let’s see if the public agrees with you and wait for buds to be commonplace at public spaces, gyms, etc...don’t hold your breath though.

Seems like you're an airpod homer, and that's cool. My process of connecting the buds to my phone was to open the case. That's it! The case wasnt bulky at all, so maybe it's just your pants that are extra tight. I'm not really concerned about losing the fins because they havent moved yet. Even without the fins the ear buds fit perfectly in my ear. And guess what, if they need replaced, I'll just replace them just like I would for the tips. No big deal. Seems like you're making strong arguments from nitpicking. Theres only one thing wrong with them in my opinion, but other than that they are as close to perfect as I've seen.

I don't know whether it's some kind of a speech thing or overly aggressive use of the de-esser but most of Andrew's videos are like this. His annunciation often omits 's' sounds. For example - in this video, right around the :26 second mark, 'it's nice to see that plastic is not really u_ed in the packaging'. Andrew, where's the s? It does sometimes make him hard to understand. It's a shame because Andrew's reviews are some of the most informative out there, his information is usually great.

I like my Powerbeats 3 better. They have the same auto-activating chip as the AirPods. They may lack all the fancy features but have better sound and 12 hour battery life on one charge vs the AirPods' 5 hours.
