Here's why the Bubbles and Donnie pairing doesn't work (in my opinion). They're the _same_ character. They're both equally dumb, equally random, and equally emotional, so they can't clash or bounce off of each other. I know that they are supposed to be friends, but even friends are different in some way. Patrick and Spongebob are best friends, yet their personalities are different. Patrick is dumber while Spongebob can sometimes be more naive, because Patrick can sometimes see things that Spongebob can't, like when he caught on that Squidward didn't want to play with them in Jellyfishing. Ed, Edd 'n Eddy are friends but while Eddy is a greedy scammer, Ed is a bumbling oaf, and Edd is a germophobic genius. Even Sarah and Jimmy, who share similar interest in girlish activities like baking, playing with dolls, makeup, manicures, and so on, have different personalities. Sarah is more feisty, violent, bratty, and sassy, whereas Jimmy is gentle, sensitive, imaginative, innocent, and occasionally cunning and manipulative. I could go on and on. Billy is an all-loving, occasionally destructive simpleton and Mandy is a cynical, perpetually frowning demon child.

Danny is a bumbling oaf that wants to be an astronaunt. Sam is a goth vegitarian that is not like other girls. Tucker is a techno geek, ladies man, that LOVES meat and HATES veggies. The only things they have in common is they all enjoyed playing Doomed (which was only for one episode but for the first half Danny and Tucker didn't know Sam played Doomed) and ghost fighting which Danny does on his own for the most part with his friends only helping sometimes. Also Danny and Sam get jealous every time the other person dates literally anyone (ex. Danny dates Paulina/Kitty overshadowing Paulina, Sam punches a locker. Danny dates Valerie, Sam insists on spying on them which could also be bc of Valerie being a ghost hunter but Sam was definetly jealous. Sam dates Gregor/Elliot pretending to be basically Sam but a hungrarian boy rather than an american girl.) Tucker and Danny had a crush on Paulina for the first season (but Danny's crush was actually part of the plot and Tucker's crush is played as a joke) they both had a crush on Valerie at different times and hated her when they didn't have a crush on her (Shades of Gray Tucker likes her but Danny hates her until season 2 Reign Storm and during Reign Storm and I believe Flirting With Disaster Tucker hates Valerie and Danny likes her) and ofc the obvious of Danny, Sam, and Tucker all being the most unpopular kids in their grade (for some reason)

There may be a few places where milkmen are still around. Also the original show was presumably set in the late 90s but it was a retro universe with outdated technology to give an anachronistic 1940s or 50s feel, so... milkmen probably could have fit in the original show just fine.

For what ever reason, Donny has never bothered me. Partly because his most infamous appearance had little to do with his character, Partly because PPG 2016 is a sucking void of annoyance and atrociousness, hell bent on destroying the very concept of creativity and likability, which raises the standards for what makes a bad character much higher. I still think Professor Utonium is way worse in this regard, but hey, to each their own.

I kinda get what the idea behind the mail short is, make a mundane activity more serious cause the two are over imaginative, but it just felt like a bunch of random nonsense. I can't recall if it was bad about this in the first season, but it really feels like the second season was obsessed with non sequitur humor, but for whatever reason, it just doesn't work as well as it does in some other CN cartoons.

Basically, the writers are parodying how tactical teams (ex: SWAT, Police, Military groups, etc.) use non-verbal hand signals to communicate/coordinate (so the enemy can't hear their location/presence). And in doing so, they are ramping up bubbles and Donnie's signs to an absurd degree, in a mundane situation, for "comedic effect". Tactical hand signal gags have been parodied TOO death in TV and Films (even in media that isn't military/cop related), so it's baffling that you got so confused by such a cliche gag. Not saying they did it well here (it was still stupid and unfunny), but you REALLY never seen this gag before???? I thought of a powerpuff girls idea. There is this alien going around in Townsvile disguised as a human. He wants to suck out peoples brains and eat them. He keeps running into the secondary characters and villians and keeps attemting to eat their brains but they keep accidently hurting him and they are all completely oblvious. Meanwhile the powerpuff gilrs call the mayor and he says there is no crime today. Blossom: Are you sure Mr. Mayor. Mayor: Yeah theres no crime at all today. And itn cuts back and forth between the girls celebrating their day off doing varrious gags and back to the alien sometimes. The Powerpuff girls do several skits at home and its a bunch of jokes to simulate a day at home rather than a linear plot. At the end the girls find out the alien is an alien so they kick his butt. Then the Narrator says so once again the day is saved thanks to the powerpuff girls. Blossom: Hold it Then it cuts bact to the normal background and the alien is crying. Bubbles: Are you ok whats wrong: Alien: I'm not evil I'm just hungry its just my nature. Then the Powerpuff Girls introduce him to speggetti and now he is addicted to spegetti instead of human brains. Blossom: Ok now roll it Narrator: So once again the day is saved thanks to the Power Puff Girls Buttercup: He is mos certianly going to jail after this Blossom and Bubbles: Oh of course.

In a way. Donnys character makes fun of people, while reaching us not to be a certain way also. What I mean is this. Donny is too delusional, he doesn’t seem to understand (or even try to understand) what is happening. In first episode he was in to be a unicorn, zero fucks given, and look what happened. Another episode where a robot wants to kill him, again mostly zero fucks given. Both episodes in a way mock delusional people, and also teaches us why being delusional is dangerous. I mean if one episode that’s fine, if the character learns and tries not to make the same mistake again. The very worst was when Donny betrayed bubbles to be friends with a new girl episode. And he even didn’t care after he realized his error. Despite they were meant to be good friends. At least his delusion only affects him, but here he treated bubbles like shit. Disturbingly I met people similar to donnys character. It’s like being a parent figure to them since they can’t do anything themselves, while being afraid for your personal safety since either they will hurt you directly / indirectly. Overall. I won’t say I hate Donny. At times I want to like him. But he’s just too difficult. That’s my word to summarize him. Difficult.

My dad said it was corny!! 🤣💙💖 Also me and my KZbin friends sometimes used that clip of Buttercup having songs stuck in her head and putting songs that we get stuck in our heads. Good times. 🤣 I didn’t think modern pop music was too bad until more recently. It just seems like trashy rap music that spews the N-word left and right. Seriously why?!! Did they not think little kids, who are known to repeat everything they see or hear, are gonna hear and repeat A RACIAL SLUR???!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Oh my dog I HATE I’ll Be Bake!!! Shadow I respect your opinion but this is my least favorite of the shorts. Bubbles and Buttercup are treated like complete idiots who are loud and obnoxious. Sure Blossom might be more mature than her sisters (OG) but that doesn’t mean Bubbles and Buttercup are this stupid and crazy!!! Also coming from someone who takes culinary arts in school our home project assignments are freakin BRUTAL especially because we have to film ourselves doing them. But my main problem is Bubbles and Buttercup. After Super Sweet 6 and this they were completely ruined for me. @@icecreamhero2375 Honestly, your idea sounds like it could be a decent episode for the series... or in this case, one of those specials that Cartoon Network does whenever they decide that they want to make it... for money. It says something when I'm seeing more and more examples of fans (and even people who aren't fans) of a media franchise come up with (potentially) better ideas for stories and character concepts. If you're still interested in it, then by all means... keep working at it (by refining and revising it, I mean). Who knows? Perhaps, you could use this idea again, in the future.

12:20 I think it would've been better if Bubbles and Buttercup put more effort into failing to bake, you know? Bubbles could have tried really hard to crack the egg, but after it wouldn't make a dent, she'd hit it too hard and crush it on the counter. Then Buttercup would try using her laser eyes to slice the shell in half, only for a fully cooked egg to come out. I think this short had potential to be cute, where Blossom accepts her sisters help in baking and ends up teaching them. If the writers still made all three of the girls super smart, at least Blossom could be the one that's good at baking

Also, the original girls could cook for themselves just fine, so this is another example of the girls being made less competent for the reboot. Sure, Buttercup used her heat vision to accidentally make her sisters' porridge too hot one time, but you never got the sense that she was deliberately trying to mess things up. And for a show about sisterhood, they sure love to show the girls sabotaging each other rather than working together as a family.
