After watching dozens of these vids,very smart powerwashers pressurize the water going into the pump by running a 5 gpm 12 volt pump to push water into pressure washer at perfect flow.

What does a release valve do?

@@brandon6451 It lets pressure out automatically when it gets too high. I personally would not repurchase this Simpson PW. When I got it, it had the wrong handle in the box. They called me and said they realized they sent out over a 100 units with the wrong handle. So I called back and never could get anyone on the phone. I left vm's saying who I was and confirming my address to send the right handle. They never did send me the right handle. If they knew they sent me the wrong handle, why not just automatically mail me the right one. I spent almost 2k on the unit. That's simpson for you.

@@maxgreen8901 thanks for the feedback. Sorry that happened to you. If you get a refund I would recommend a belt drive pressure pro unit with a general pump and Honda gx390 for the same price.

Kelley Mobile Detail Sure thing. I’ve been eyeing this particular model. Primarily because of the Engine, Pump and Aluminum frame. How much is the weight of it and how does it compare to a steel frame? Is it worth the extra money?

Get a vortexx if you’re going to be using the machine daily to generate revenue. Solid weld frame, no bolts. Commercial pump, commercial head, stainless steel fittings, Honda engine, and a radiator of sorts. Gear drive model is $2,199.00. 5-6 year warranty. Seems expensive, but you can make it up in a week. Get a quality surface cleaner. Vortexx has a stainless steel trisurface cleaner. It’s a 20 inch round cleaner with a boom rake at the top of the circle. After a year or two, get a hot water pressure skid unit 5-8k. 8 GPM. The 11-1300.00 Simpson is a good unit. You might get a year or two commercially, or you might not. The pump isn’t as good, and the bolts will vibrate out. It’s more prone to overheat and blow the pump. The Simpson’s are direct drive, the pump and engine go at the same speed which breaks down faster. The vortexx gear drive pumps lower than the engine by about half which extends the life of the pump.

Let me clarify...the video/audio was bad. It seems you know quite a bit about pressure washers and I see that you were not pleased with the Dewalt models. If you are not using this one (Simpson), is there a better brand you'd buy as a high powered home use pressure washer?

@@KelleyMobileDetail Large exposed aggregate driveway and sidewalks, wood porch, siding, etc. I bought an electric and it was terrible so I'm going with a powerful gas washer, but lots of choices
