That's why their fares are atleast cheaper. Cuz they have everything basic. A round trip ticket from Miami to Manchester England via Lisbon is depending when u go from 600 to 800 on the a330-900neo which is 31" seat pitch plus a 13hr layover in Lisbon

With the cutbacks legacy carriers have made, there's little difference flying European short haul Economy Class on a legacy carrier vs. an ULCC. The only real reason to fly the legacy carrier is if it's a connecting flight. BTW Ryanair has accused TAP of squatting on unused slots at LIS, and wants them.

The tight seats are already horrible for young and healthy people. But imagine for older ones with arthritic knees like me. Keen if the red seats are a bit comfier. I've booked a red one and have to cram a cat carrier (she flies with me) under the front seat. Their measurements are so small that it's nearly a shoe box. Although she's small and light (2.5 kg) I had to get a carrier for her exceeding a bit their demanded 'size'. We'll see how that turns out. Does anyone have experience with that? Tx

I’ve lost most respect for European airlines. 28” of pitch and ultra slimline seats….. on a legacy carrier? Same with BA and LH. You would never see United, American, or Delta offer the same seats as Spirit or Frontier. Same with no free drinks or even pretzels in economy? Absolutely pathetic…. Don’t get me started on paying for seat selection. Everyone shits on US airlines but at least they have not sunk this low.
