Alejandro Suazo Exactly. Some people just don't really know what they want and therefore are always uncontented and non-appreciative of the things around them.

@@rockingstar3534 I think that's an inaccurate characterization. What happened is that the benefits of digital were too great to ignore, so people made the best decision and migrated to digital production. Eventually, computers became powerful enough to digitally recreate the analog warmth of the pre-digital era as an effect. It's not a refutation of digital, which is here to stay no matter what. It's just a consequence of technological progress.

@@bonchbonch You said that correctly. It is actually an added value. We really appreciate the digital age, but the analog warmth these plugins can bring is fantastic. I use the Satin plug-in and am really excited to consider buying the softtube tape plugin as well.

The interface looks nice and minimalist and the art design on the GUI s nice as well. I like the sound too. Your voice recording is also very crisp and clear! Nice music session too :) Oh and GUI is said as "Gooey" so not to disappoint the computer nerds out there ;)

Unless you change the in/output you can't really hear anything unless it's either on B or you put the color all the way to 10... it helps to go through the presets to see what they consider a sound... all of them alter the in and output

We're getting really close but still a little bit to do to sounds "competitiv" to the famous Studer (the tape that I know the most). I think a mix of this one, with the crosstalk, the more boomy bass of the VTM and perhaps the stereo image of the Waves J37 (that sounds like a disguised S1 to me) would be even closer. Nice demo, I would be curious to see the impact of the high-end boost (as the UAD studer one). The design reminds me of a Studer more than an Ampex in general anyway.

Don't blow money on gimmicky nostalgic plugins that often go way too far imo - I don't want flange and grit applied to the master! The whole idea here is essentially making a mix more cohesive sounding, which isn't always an issue, but if it is and you've recorded in the box and haven't captured a great room's ambience then maybe you need something. But instead of this simply throw some tape hiss, vinyl crackle or room noise or whatever you want on a track and mix that into your song. You might even get creative with this ... but typically this kind of thing should be subtle, just above the threshold of hearing.

You know the Wadsworth constant ? It says the first 30% of every YT video is useless. You've managed to make it 50%. And I'm being nice because the demo itself is pretty weak. Downvoted man, I'm sorry.
