On balance I though on par with the second but I give the second the slight edge. I hope they do the revenge angle in 4. Also Hatch always says he loves horrors but never seems to give them good reviews😂

First time in a long time, I almost vomited 😅.. this movie is the goriest thing I've seen released in theaters since the original days of Eli Roth I still think the substance is the best movie of the year and equally disturbing but if you're looking for Gore for the sake of Gore well this movie Takes the Cake

@@brandtsweet we missed The Substance but I’m hearing good things so maybe we missed something there. There is some serious gore but answer me this… did any of the kills beat the ‘bedroom scene’ in the second? 🤣 truly horrific

@@JustGoWatchPodcast well I can tell you this I watch all the greats The Green Inferno Faces of Death anything Eli Roth early 2000s and this movie took the cake when it comes to gore there's one scene and it includes a kill but it almost made me vomit and turn off the TV that was the self-pleasure scene I don't think I can really say more than that because my comment will get removed but that was intense not to mention blowing up the children I just feel like this movie was a better movie than the second one

@@brandtsweet yeah the self pleasure part had my eyes wide in shock 🤣 I don’t think story has been a particularly strong part of any of the films but that’s not why people watch these movies! Maybe we will have to return to The Substance. It is a horror after all!

@@JustGoWatchPodcast more like a snuff film icon nothing about art screams classic slasher it’s definitely more snuff related material then classic slasher imo and a lot more other people in polls I ran across twitter and instagram lol

@@superhuman51 by definition snuff would be actually murders so let’s hope it isn’t that 🤣 I suppose it depends on what you expect a slasher to be. Art is no Myers or Jason, stalking his victims methodically. These movies aren’t for me either. But I can appreciate the character of Art

@@JustGoWatchPodcast also no snuff dosent have to be real murder… there’s a lot of snuff films out there that aren’t real murders just so Gorey and realistic that they call it snuff it’s its own category forsureeeee
