The Holman Christian Standard Bible is not bad the problem is if it gives you a note to look up you have to go to the back of the book in the notes and find it. If you want the best Bible on the market and they're willing to pay for it you can get the turquoise version of the Cambridge Bible which is based on the best text. It is as good as it gets in my opinion.

I have noticed that probably over 80% of the people who read the Bible are over 50 and they like large print readable Bibles. Having said that I have some giant print Bibles that aren't that readable because you're not that darken clear but the Cambridge Bibles both the large print version and the turquoise version have very good print and it's easy to read even though it's small enough to be seen I wouldn't call it giant print but it is readable print. Years ago in about 1970 I had a Cambridge Concord Bible it was very readable anymore. So your recommendation I bought the large print Cambridge version and also the turquoise version and are my two favorites I took them both out of the boxes today and looked at it again and they're very readable even though they're very small. I'm very homebound now so I don't mind if a Bible is big but I did find the Nelson giant print personal size to be very good for readability with very little ghosting. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available anymore I think I bought it on sale in the bookstore many years ago for about 29.97

Robert bowman wrote the book you were talking about in a previous video believes in the trinity not in the Oneness Dotrine. If he is wrong on that the deity of Christ and then the oneness group but also be wrong wouldn't that be the case?

It seems to me if the oneness group has added speaking in tongues and water baptism for salvation in contradistinction to what Paul says in Ephesians 2:8 through 10 then they are into a Works religion.

I like the Holman Christian Standard Bible in big print which I have a copy of but now I am only King James version and so that's about all I will ever read from here on out. I know things like the NIV and some of the others take things out and so I just don't trust anything but the King James version but if I had the second pick I would pick the Holman Christian Standard Bible course now it's just the Christian Standard Bible so it's probably gone downhill from there

Thanks for the review! Just got this Bible today. Hope the articles and notes will help me to answer questions from critics and defend the faith of Christ. No contributions from Dr. James R. White (leading apologist and debater against atheists, Mormons, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc.), Jeff Durbin (pastor of Apologia Church), Doug Wilson, etc. Still, quite a great list of apologists, although I will disagree with certain points of theology held by some of them, as I am a Reformed Baptist. I disagree with Dr. Craig's Molinist perspective, for example. God bless.

my former independent baptist church pastor preach from the amplified bible and my childhood missionary baptist pastor use only kjv and my former diciples of christ christian church use niv my current pastor at the nondenonminational church he use kjv only

Holman seems to be a baptist publisher so their study bibles are maybe more baptist.

I am pleased that you come from a KJV stance. I look askance upon Baptist/Mennite/Arminian approaches to doctrine. I prefer a study Bible with a Lutheran or Reformed/Presbyterian stance.Sounds, though, despite that, that there are good things in this study Bible, despite all the rank Baptists and the nature of the translation itself.

It seems like an x 2 when Peter commanded the people listening to repent and be baptized to receive the Holy Spirit. That if you look at the beginning and right before his speech that he was talkin about ye men of Israel. Of course Gentiles aren't you men of Israel are they call Paul. Did the dress mini of his letters to them such as Ephesians 1:13 Ephesians 2 18 through 20 and 8 through 20. Context. Context. Context.
