Loved the video. Are there any third party PS2 wireless controllers that are compatible with PS2 games that specifically require an original DualShock 2 wireless controller?

Sorry, but this is the only third party wireless controller that I've tried. There are higher quality third party controllers like Logitech wireless controller, but haven't tested those.

I would like u to read my prior comment. I bought the supposed factory PS2 dualshock 2 controller. And still have issues like, no pressure sensitive buttons and certain games don't work either at all or problems staying connected to the console via the adapter.

I bought 3rd party PS2 controller with receiver and a usb PS2 to PS3 game controller adapter to try on PlayStation Classic they didn’t work so I said well let me just try these things on C64 mini well to my surprise with the latest firmware update I got the cheap PS2 wireless controller to work on my C64 mini I didn’t dig out my real Sony PS2 console yet to try the controller with yet

Thanks for this review! I don't if you still reply, but do you having a hard time to aim with these controller? I tried to play any FPS games (Black, Call of Duty) and also GTA San Andreas where you need to use the Sniper. The Analog/Joystick are really sensitive that you need to push it gently. Does this happened to your controller too?

Hi, thanks for watching, yes it is working like that, might not be as perfectly sensitive as the wired original Dualshock, but it is working and shooter games can be played.

HELLO amazing helpful KZbinr. I hope I can explain this clearly. I desire a pair (2) of PlayStation 2 controllers which work wirelessly via the SAME wireless dongle stuck into BOTH PS2 controller ports at the same time. This allows me to turn one off while my friend on the other side of the room turns theirs on in order to switch who's controlling player 1 for taking turns in single player games without having to throw one controller back and forth across the room. You may laugh but I have purchased a controller that does exactly this, which is a ProGamer (brand) PS2 wireless 2-controller set with a single dongle that splits into 2 wires and plugs into both controller ports simultaneously and does exactly what I described. The problem is one of the controllers has a faulty analog stick that doesn't activate when going left, and I can't find this brand or this type of controller or anything like it to replace this set up. If you have any thoughts or solutions I would much appreciate it. Thank you 💚 And I should note that I'm unconcerned about the quality of the controller since my main requirement is for it to simply function properly and work in the ways I described. Thanks

I got one and it does not work in most of the games. Works perfect in many games but many do not work

The exteneely bright lights (red and green) on the reciever are annoying right from the beginning. I'll be opening mine up to remove the lights.

Don't remove them, try to solder a resistor in series with them if there is enough space and the brightness will be lower.

@@Yosh1295 yeah I did that after I removed lights to prevent moisture and dust getting inside. Is it me or is it harder to remove and insert the controller's receiver into the PS2 controller slot

I bought the same controller few days ago but mine has a mini usb slot in the reciever and it says you can connect it to a ps3 Altho i dont have a ps3 I tried it on my android phone and it actually works

Don't feel bad about your aftermarket controller. I went to a great deal to buy a supposed official PS2 wireless controller and it has the same issues you bring up with the aftermarket controller. I found out it doesn't have pressure sensitive buttons, no matter how many times I push the " mode", button. Useless. I was very satisfied at first, playing MGS games, it worked great. And some other games as well, worked fine. But when I tried to play any Ubisoft games, the controller wouldn't connect to the adapter. But a wired controller worked just fine. Crazy. After several inquiries on line, I discovered that supposedly, PlayStation didn't make any factory wireless controllers for PS2. So they are 3rd party controllers with PlayStation logos in a PlayStation box. Wow Sony, cheap trick. So even if you go to the trouble to hunt down an official controller, for the PS2, you ain't getting one.

There are PS2 controller to PC adapters, but with out the receiver it won't work. I don't know of any compatible receiver which converts the signals for the PC.

Wht do you mean? It is working with 2xAA battery. With some work it can be changed to Li-Ion battery. It can't work without battery.
