I have a Tflight hotas 4 ... I have had it for years. My main game i play is Elite Dangerous on the PC... 5 years so far and it has held up to the combat abuse. Even the great beer spill of 2018... lol.... Voice Attack is a option for the low number of buttons. Voice attack is voice dictation software that does key presses on voice command. Very popular with Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen players. Works with other games as well.

I was used to be the user of this flight stick and loved it so much for, such as, ArmA2 and Apache Air Assault. But to me, it was not for air-to-air combat but for air-to-ground combat.

Just a shame there's no dead zone settings in Ace Combat 7. You'll need that in about 6 months when you get rudder drift.

It's been a while since i played Ace Combat but I believe it's the rocker button on the throttle. I prefer to use the twist function for games like Elite Dangerous. That tends to go funny too but there's an easy ish short term fix. Just jiggle them rapidly between their extreme positions. Sounds silly but it works, though as i say it's short term. If you have the right gear, it's also easy enough to take apart to clean any dust that may be affecting input.

bro the high sensitivity on the throttle doesnt matter if your play ac7 because in a dogfight in that game your gonna change throttle quickly (common sense anyone should know that). It aint dcs or vtol

I wish there were some more flight games on Ps4 besides Ace combat 7 and war thunder. Both are amazing games but I wish we had some better flight sim games like miceosoft flight simulator. Some of the other flight sims look like low quality mobile games.

do you use trackir for looking around in flight simulators. if not, what else do you use? im thinking about buying a joystick but i dont want to spend the extra money on trackir to go with it, is there any other way of doing this?

I do use TrackIR. Back in the day, and for many years, I simply used my joystick's POV hat and a few hot keys on the keyboard for external views (if that was allowed in online coop gameplay). If you want to save a few bucks, and you have an old Playstation with eye tracking, just do a KZbin search for "DIY TrackIR Build Guide" for a complete guide to homebrewing your own eye-tracking rig. That said, TrackIR is a worthwhile investment if you plan on spending a lot of time in combat simulation games.

I bought one of these. Initially it seemed great until the drift started after about 100 hours play time. Spent some time pulling it apart, troubleshooting, and it would work alright for a few hours but honestly it's kind of a POS so I decided to get something better. I don't want to spend my gaming time doing repair, I'm not playing Joystick Repair Simulator 2022.

I have an issue with the joystick being VERY non linear. For instance on fsx, when I push to the left, I get a very small, low sensitivity movement all the way until about the last half inch of movement, then it's like the sensitivity ramps up really quickly, making it very difficult to do controlled turns, not sure how to fix it either :/ I might as well be using the keyboard as there is barely any analog movement.

Can you program any of the buttons on this joystick in DCS as Modifier Buttons to work in combination with the other joystick buttons? If so then this joystick will solve my problems. I currently use 5 Modifier Buttons on my Microsoft Sidewider in combination with it's 4 other buttons. That gives me a total of twenty possible combo button actions and in DCS I use them all.

I kinda wanna get something like this for Elite Dangerous, but i tried just the PS4/DS4 controller earlier today, and using those 2 joysticks seemed VERY impractical compared to a mouse and keyboard... I feel like it gave me an impression of how a dual joystick setup would be, and i was NOT impressed, LOL! Maybe i just need to get used to it, and/or make some changes to the mapping...

the PC games I would use this on are on my XP Desktop gaming rig i built in 2001, not my windows 7 laptop. I know the driver page says windows 7 and up but has anyone tried it on XP? Keep in mind Windows 7 IS windows XP in alot of ways, even it's look if you take away the bels and whistles of the way 7 looks like Aero... Go to control panel, System, Advanced system settings on the left, then in the Properties window that pops up go to Advanced tab, then Performance. In Visual effects click "for best performance" to uncheck everything and hit apply.... now quite a few things look like they did in Win XP. interesting huh?

Just came across this review. I have the Xbox & PC version of this, and bought the rudder system as well. I'm relatively new to these simulators; but was wondering if anyone has posted a DCS profile(s) for this HOTAS? I know they vary user to user, but I am looking for a baseline.

Ultimately, it will depend on which aircraft you fly in DCS as the controls vary wildly between airframes. I fly the F/A-18C Hornet in DCS and found this T.Flight profile: www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300994/ ... That might serve as a good starting point.

It's a wide rocker switch on the throttle. It sits under your index finger and middle finger as you wrap your hand over the throttle's handle. You can press it to the left or right to simulate using rudder pedals in a plane or helicopter. It's progressive because if you press it down on one side just a small amount, you'll get a small amount of rudder deflection. Press it all the way down and you'll get full rudder deflection on that side.

Sure you can. 👍The F-14's various cockpit buttons and flight surfaces can be mapped to it just as I did with the DCS F/A-18 Hornet in the video.

Thrustmaster was founded in 1990 by the then 65-year-old engineer Norm Winningstad. The name was apt because his complex electronic throttles controlled thrust levels in simulated jet engines. Also, and I'm just speculating here, he probably thought it sounded more marketable than Hi-Tech Electronic Throttle Quadrant. Mr. Winningstad served in the United States Navy during WWII as an electronic technician's mate. In the 1960's, Mr. Winningstad worked at such landmark electronics firms as Tektronix and was considered "one of the leading brains during its 1960s heydey" (quote taken from his Wikipedia page). After Tektronix, he went on to help start one of the first supercomputing companies, Floating Point Systems, that later was acquired by Cray Business Systems. He also helped to found Lattice Semiconductor which made field-programmable gate arrays ... which are used in all sorts of applications including flat-panel televisions and laptops. But yeah, Thrust ... Master ... as you put it, could mean something else. I'm sure Bevis and Butthead would have a field day with it, but honestly, as clever as you no doubt are, I'm not so sure your comment was worth the lols.

I have this T-flight and have been using in in Aces High. It works good but when i am trying to keep my hat switch view on a boggy and firing it snaps out of the view and runs my fire. I have to refocus my view and that means loosing a kill in a real battle. it this normal for these hotas? the hotas needs a few more buttons

It's a standard PC joystick when in PC mode, so you should be able to assign the axis in FSX.
