Had my first one of these today. Certainly a very well made cigar with a gorgeous wrapper, but I found the first half far too light and not much flavour. Very delicate and some nice subtle flavours but it only picked up in the second half and mine also tasted very slightly acrid. The second half was much better, a bit richer and more flavour but still quite subtle overall. Subtle flavours of light roasted coffee, unsalted peanut and tea leaf with a little caramel sweetness developing through. I find this very short length of cigar just too short for that kind of very slow opening - a short cigar needs to kick in right away if not after the first half inch, not half way through, and no amount of age will change that. My opinion is that these will need a good 3-5 years good ageing and they will become lovely, mild-medium and subtle short cigars. Ultimately I prefer a little more body and richness and for this kind of format I'd much prefer an Hoyo Petit Robusto or even Epicure 2 - more flavour from the very beginning, more of a rich complexity and also just an overall flavour profile I prefer. I'm still yet to smoke any Trinidad other than a good Fundadores which I find outstanding, especially for their premium price tags. Mostly I find Trinidads to be beautifully made but subtle and often even a little bland.
