I bought a 1938 William Frank Trumpet. It has a William Frank mouthpiece labeled 20.It’s like a Bach 3c but the inner rim rises a bit. It’s amazing for me.I can now play up to a solid High C with it

Carbon fiber trumpet? It sounds really like a brass one, even more than a plastic one I have the impression.

Can anyone suggest any large-throat off-the-shelf mouthpieces? I want to try some but I find that it's hard getting the throat size specs of different mouthpieces.

I have a 13c Rudy Muck. If I am outta gas on my generic Bach 7c...I love to use this to hit the high notes. Enjoy playing with it nonetheless. Thanks for the video Harrelson.

I have a Rudy MucK , Hand made Cushioned Rim 18M. I've never seen another . Any one have an information on this. I've seen 19C, 13C 17C. But never an 18M. Any Information would be very appreciated. Michael

Hi. I have two 18M Rudy Muck mouthpieces. One kind of faded gold plate. One has a custom gold plated rim. Precious, sweet sounding and rare pieces. Cheers!

Difficult but not impossible to play well in other registers, one of the most famous users was Fats Navarro.

I'm a Fats fanatic and I've never heard this either.

The Abel.hive player/combo web-site says that Fats played a 17C, but I think this is either anecdotal, or erroneous; there is no photographic evidence of him playing one. He played a custom Charlie Allen.
