Review: TUMI Alpha 2 Carry-On Garment Bag on 4 Wheels

Finding the right bag for a 3-day trip without compromising isn't that easy. You either go for a carry-on and have a wrinkled suit or you go for a garment bag and have to check it in. This TUMI Bag combines it all, luggage that was really thought through. It is costly, so there might be second thoughts about purchasing it. Have a look for yourself. I have this bag and found it great in theory and not so good in practice. I'm curious how you feel about this bag after multiple uses. I had 2 major issues. First, my shirts and jackets actually were MORE wrinkled after use than if I had simply folded them into a normal carry-on because of the way the bag closes and puts pressure on the clothes -- that seems to press in creases. Second, I could not get shoes to fit. I honestly don't know how you got your shoes in there. I see the video, and yet I somehow can't get my bag to close, at least without undue strain on my shoes. Dress shoes are almost impossible, but athletic shoes? Forget about it... due to their size, there is no way they fit without absolutely smashing them in. I really wonder if I'm missing something here. I really want to like this bag, but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Exactly what I was hoping to see. It was an editing trick. He originally opened the empty suiter and closed it. In his edit he packed the bag and put that packing footage in between the open and close of the empty suiter.

it is for sure, I fly a lot and not having to wait for my luggage after landing is amazing. If I would just fly from time to time I think I wouldn't buy it because of the price. Taking stuff for nearly one whole work-week is really bringing this bag to its maximum, but still worked out very well. I recommend it.
