That hand is more like a 24h indicator. You have to use the bezel for second timezone.Also, the bracelet only pulls your hair as long as you have hair, no more problems after you run out of hair. Nice one, I’m a little envious and it shows.

They've made a new version of this model in 7 different colors. It doesn't have a date window anymore, also they got rid of the Амфибия word on the dial and changed the hour hand a little bit. I think the new version looks fresh.

BTW that's not the Amphibia (Амфибия) logo on the back, it's the Neptune (Нептун) logo, which is a special series of the Vostok Amphibia watches, of course you know that, but I just wanted to mention it. In case anyone wonders, what are these other strange words on the back, it means противоударные (protivoudarniye) = shock resistant, водонепроницаемые (vodonepronitsayemiye) = water proof, автоподзавод (avtopodzavod) = automatic. Nice review!

I passed on these watches because of the case shape, and ended up with the Amphibian 17099B GMT, which is the green one with the golden sub second dial and no date. The 170 case is comfortable to wear with a milanese strap.

They sell a nice solid-link bracelet and a fitted black leather strap with contrast stitching for this watch (I got them in the mail Tuesday). The bracelet is very nice with a signed milled clasp.

Thanks for the review. I just ordered a different neptune a few days ago but don't know if I'll ever receive it with everything going on. I've always been curious about the neptune case held off buying it until now. Hope I wasn't too late

That dial's too crowded for my taste and the rubbish integrated bracelet is a big turn off. But it's all academic as I won't be buying any Russian watches for the foreseeable future.

I second this. Since we can’t do anything militarily to help the Ukrainians, because Putin really is nuts enough to break out the nukes, sanctions and boycotts are the only thing that we can viably do to help the Ukrainians. Don’t support the Russian economy - don’t buy Russian products.
