Tip for doing this since we used space bags when we went to Florida, use an air mattress pump. For our way back we used a small pump to suck all the air out again. Took up no space and works just as well as a vacuum!

What a good idea. I use one of those bags to store my winter quilt but I never would have thought to use it for packing a suit case. I Might think about this for an up coming trip, and wrinkles aren't too important if you are going on a casual one.

I bought some similar to this to use a few years ago and I love them! The set I bought came with two medium and two large bags. You just zipped the top closed and rolled them up. And you're right...they are perfect for putting your dirty clothing in. The only problem I have had (and it had nothing to do with the bags themselves) is TSA opening them up and making a mess in my suitcase with the contents....but that's another story, lol

Oh my gosh. Leave it to TSA to do that.

"When packing, leave some space near the entrance of the bag where the STOP line is--that's what the line is for! The extra space creates some buffer between the zippered opening and your packed clothes, so it prevents air from leaking in. Some people tend to ignore the line and overpack. That's a mistake. Air would just eventually get back in and re-inflate your bag." -Some guy

I really like this video. Do you find that the shape of the bag/clothing once it is compressed works well in your luggage?
