I just got mine. I turned it on and haven't turned it off. My basement gets alot of humidity. I used two dehumidifiers prior to getting this one. This one does the job of the other two. 115 hrs running so far

Update. Alorair and Walmart refunded my unit. Them and Walmart argued about that. Finally came through. We r sticking with our inexpensive GE units. Def do the job. Good luck to you. Been good talking 2u.

Nick, thanks for your question! I'm in Florida so I haven't seen those temperatures in years so I'm not a great resource for that particular info. Sorry.

I just received this unit yesterday. My thoughts. Unit arrived with the plug on the power cord crushed, so we couldn't use it without a new cord. Fortunately we had another similar cord. It also had a missing O ring drain hose seal. So when the pump started, it flooded the very area we were trying to dry. Lastly, the Wi-fi is a virtually useless nightmare. Poor connection, badly designed app, intrusive requirements such as location, name, phone number, etc. This is just in expensive version of a $120 unit. Does it dehumidify? Yes. As long as your not expecting any remote control, then this is for you. I contacted customer service. They're supposed to be sending replacement part's. We also received a 2 year old unit even though we paid for new equipment. They refused to replace it, saying it was Wal-marts fault sending old stock. For this price, I'm not impressed. It's going back.

WOW...sorry to hear all that. Next time our affiliate link is an option ;) At least that way you get lots of protection from Amazon. For real though, that really sucks and I'm glad they are addressing the broken parts.

@@ReviewsUnscripted They e-mailed just now. They're sending t replacement parts. To little to late. Ill give them credit for that at least. I tried for 20 minutes to get a newer machine, but no matter how I asked, the answer was no. Asked her "would you buy a new old car?" Didn't care. Insisting it's still a new machine. I knew going in the Wifi was a total disaster. Just go to Google Play and read the reviews. Horrendous to say the least. Thought I'd give it a try. Yep. Accurate. And Im pretty good at wireless setup's. We put this unit up against our cheap dehumidifiers. Ours pulled out more water. Bottom line, that's what you want. With tax, this was close to $1000. I can buy alot of cheap units for that. Granted, mine aren't designed for crawl space use, but you'd have to judge that for yourself. It seems well made, but as far as the warranty goes, I can buy a cheap unit and add a good warranty for minimal cost, so that negates their 5 year warranty as well. In fact, the aftermarket warranty covers more w less hassle. I've seen virtually no reviews showing this in real world tests without it being a paid sponsor. Thats a red flag right there. If this is aimed at a business, and they try setting up that stupid Wifi, they'll be sending these back. A business person doesn't have time for that.

The manufacturer sold that unit to Walmart new 2 years ago, you bought it from Walmart, not the manufacturer, correct? They sold you the old unit, why aren't you perusing them? BTW...those are just process questions. I'm on your side in that, this whole situation really sucks for you. What were your cheap ones your recommending?

@@ReviewsUnscripted Just regular GE's. Hold about 2 gallons, But they can be hard piped. She did direct me back to Walmart. I even asked if I could purchase new stock directly from them, but no. So if I go back to Walmart, I could not only get the same "old" unit, I could get an even older one. She said they sell units no older than 2022. I called her out on that, pointing to mine, which had a manufacture date of 2021. She got real quiet then. Whoops. She said they have no control over dealer stock, no matter who it comes from. That's just not acceptable. Another words, luck of the draw as to what you're getting. I pointed out that some of they're newer units had improved technology, and im potentially missing out on that, but still charging premium prices on several years old equipment. That's why we went around for 20 minutes. Let's be honest, most regular people don't buy this type of equipment. Hence the old stock. I suspect they're not big sellers. Walmart has no way of knowing what their selling by t box. There's nothing to tell you the manufacture date. She pointed that out. Another words, whatever is pulled from Amazon's or Wal-marts shelf is what ya get.
