A very nice Triumph! I remember seeing the Herald many years ago before I moved, but never have I seen one, or a Vitesse, since! Love the Triumph has a wood dash and door caps, that extra touch! Very nice review Joe, would love 😍 to see more reviews on your other vehicles plus the history of Rover, etc.!

I have a nice lineup planned, I shouldn’t say what but I will anyway😂 I’ll be reviewing these cars over the next coming months Rover 200 R8 Triumph Acclaim Vauxhall Nova Saloon Rover Metro Vauxhall Astra mk3 (if possible) Rover 200 R3 Austin / Rover Maestro And finally the Civic once it’s welded and the interior is put back in!

The little switch showing a seat with arrows above and below - which you said was seating and steering adjustments - is just an airflow control, either to your face and upper body or to your legs and feet. One other thing I should mention - the Spitfire had a much better overdrive control, being a switch on the top of the gear lever, which you could actuate very easily with your thumb. Other than that, the Vitesse (and Herald) is a lovely car.

Great video Joe.ive the lines in this car as well as that front clam concealing that straight six engine. These must be one of the very first compact sports saloons.

A very tasteful presentation, top of the door cards are called " Cappings", so glad your window regulators appear in A1 condition. Your 2 Litre has the added benefit of a reverse light, ahead of its time in 1966. Hopefully we will see more from channel Roverjoe in the near future, a favourite modification for the little Vitesse is the 2500cc 6 Cylinder Triumph engine as I have heard of from as far away as my native New Zealand, greetings 👌👍

I had a G Reg version of the car with sunroof in marigold yellow as those pastel colours were popular then. I ran it to 130K (from 50K) miles before the rust finally got it even after many welding repairs.. With the 6 cylinder engine it was very reliable and great to drive provided you were careful in the wet around corners. I did sell it and it is still recorded on DVLA but not appeared to be on the road and it is now blue.

Lovely! But when in the back seat, you didn't mention the exceptional headroom! Cheers!

The rear seats were really designed for children. That is why the ashtrays are smaller ;-)

That is not adjustment to the seats and steering 😅 I directs the air flow from the heater.
