I know my post is simply “one post,” but I want you to know that it is distinctively clear that you are a Boston Bruin, Vancouver Canuck, & Dallas Stars fan WITHOUT the obvious bias that otherwise may be observed. I think you do a tremendous job at being 100% professional, unbiased, and a hockey enthusiast which is more than any of us expect and/or deserve. The hockey guy: you are truly a blessing. I always look forward to your videos, regardless of what subject is being discussed. Sincerely, A humble, worried, NYR fan. 🤝

Agreed, as an Avs fan, outside of disagreement with the Jamie Benn hit, he’s been very fair to both teams in the Avs-Stars series. And he’s been fair to every team (speaking as someone who watches all the playoff game recaps).

I have been an Oilers fan since they started as the Alberta Oilers. I find it safe to believe, with all the world class talent and the "elite" coach, that the Oilers may have won their last game this year already. They are turning gold into mud. They must have really really important "dates" after these games the way the don't want to break a sweat.

I've said this for years and I'll say it again: I simply cannot understand why the Oilers are considered a "contender" when all they have is 97 and 29. Those two guys were on the ice for HALF THE GAME, since the Oilers obviously don't have the depth people keep insisting they have. As there is ample proof, it is entirely possible to win a playoff round or two with just 97 and 29 (they're that good) but I would bet not just one but both of my testicles that you'll never win 4 rounds of a Stanley Cup playoff with only 97 and 29. But whatever...the "experts" will ignore this and forever claim that the Oilers are a "contender" when they clearly don't have what it takes as a team to earn the hardest trophy to win in professional sports.

Can I just say... 90% of the Oilers' offense has been that McDavid-Draisaitl line. It seemed like they played every other shift. I checked the ice time for the last couple of games, and they have both played at least 29 minutes each for both games. So yes, they got a lot of chances and a lot of shots. But... they are getting offense from only 1 line. Everyone wants to say that the Canucks are hanging by a thread but rarely do I see people acknowledge that they are defending very well. There's a reason why the Oilers are pairing McDavid and Draisaitl together. That's their only chance right now. We will see what happens for the rest of the series, but after that Hyman goal, they looked tired and barely put a last ditch effort at the end there. They really need that depth scoring, or we might see more results like tonight.

Zadorov hit Kane onto the Oilers bench, but he couldn't leave the bench because a bunch of Oilers players were holding his stick to keep him there. That's why there was a bench minor called against them. I wish the refs will just call no penalties but keep the play 5 on 5 instead. But my guess is because the refs realized what happened after they made the call on Zadorov, they called a bench minor to even things up.

If you watch it closely, you can see Kane grab Z’s stick as he was falling in the bench. Call or no call it was even strength anyways. Good to see Kane get benched though!

@@GreenBeanGreenBean are you serious? When you flip someone over the boards so that THEY ARE UPSIDE DOWN, their skates have a tendency to go WHERE THEIR HEAD USED TO BE. So if you want to keep yourself safe DONT FLIP PLAYERS UPSIDE DOWN OVER THE BOARDS. I tried to put that in simple terms. Do you need me to give you an anatomy lesson? Kane was absolutely not trying to kick the guy. If you want to see someone trying to kick someone watch those Austin Matthews clips where he's right side up and then lifts his legs over his hips for no reason during a hit. That shit is disgusting

Shannon i'm a long time fan, It saddens me how little faith you still have in this Canucks team. "If they somehow steal this series" is such a discredit to the team. The Canucks are a great team, with great defence and some serious star power. They're right in this series and if they win it won't be considered stolen.

Shannon, if it's any consolation to you, that sick feeling that you have when Boston loses is the very same feeling that a lot of us have when they win... 😃...So thanks for taking the bullet for us! But I've got your back on your other two teams...To the matter at hand...I looked it up. "Silovs" is Latvian for "he who wears the red cape". Fate is the wind that brushes off the dustiest of diamonds. This kid is impressive!...Now that Carolina is whistling past the graveyard, the Canucks are the only team I have left in the playoffs, but I have to admit that I do admire Edmonton's style of play. Tic, tac, toe, tic, toc, tac, toe, tic...Bam!...It can't be overstated how well Silovs is playing. I still think this Oiler offense is the most lethal in the NHL today. I don't know if Skinner is the whole problem. They do seem to have the occasional lapses on transition, so is this an ongoing thing? Can't say...Honestly, whichever horse comes out of this race will be the one I ride throughout. I'm okay with Dallas, but I have misgivings about the Stars staying with Oettinger. Rangers? Florida? Meh...

Thanks Shannon, always appreciate your synopsis of every game. To me, watching this game, Oilers top boys did everything they could to get some pucks past Silovs, but he has really excelled in goal since he's been brought in. Skinner was definitely part of the issue for Oilers tonight. Not sure how confident he is feeling but he'll have to get better in net, most definitely. It's an entertaining series to watch but I think Oilers will have to play desperate hockey from here on out if they hope to win this series.

@@neostar63 The Canucks were absolutely outplayed. You can't get out shot 14-4 and 22-3 in consecutive periods and not be outplayed. The Oilers had multiple high danger chances, but Silovs stopped most of them. The Canucks can't expect to win this series if their offense doesn't wake up.
