The fact that the CBJ are firmly in the hunt with such a star-starved roster is nothing short of incredible, not to mention it's so refreshing to see Elvis finally get his groove back. Convert some of that copious cap space into a big name or two on the blue line and the Jackets suddenly become _very_ dangerous. Underestimate them at your own peril.

I counter by saying another top 6 forward is a bigger need with the Fabbro pickup helping the blue line and see if Mateychuk and Svozil can also help there. Getting Jenner and Gudbranson back healthy will be a tremendous boon.

Brannstrom's been a solid addition to this blueline. Before we only had too many of these big guys with little to no offensive ability... Lanks has been clutch and consistent for someone who's making close to league minimum...

Thanks for the video! Looks like Canucks worked through the difficulties. Bruins won the Centennial game so we will never again have to hear about how the Canadiens ruined the 70s for them. Three goals in a minute and ten seconds was insane. Bedard seems to be back just in time for the Blackhawks goaltending to collapse. The Blue Jackets have, surprisingly, scored five or more goals in ten games this year. Blackhawks have scored first in fourteen games this season, many of those leads squandered. Jets continue to skid. Ducks worked very hard though, despite the fighting, some might think the Sens struck a deal to give each other at least the one point then play hard in OT. Pretty good game, really, though the first half was punctuated by a lot of sloppy passing.

The Wings just can't play for 60 minutes. Even with every penalty being a potential death sentence for this team, they had a chance in this one, but after going up 4-3 they stopped generating any pressure. Their lack of defensive structure just kept them in survival mode and, as usual, it didn't hold up. It's so disheartening seeing flashes of this team playing well, but being so flawed that they'll likely hang around .500 all season.

It’s still slightly better than the Canucks PK was to start the season a few years ago. I think we were hovering around 50% until late into the season and then we got slightly better to get out of worst of all time territory. Might be something that can happen for Detroit as well, just will have to hold on until it happens.

That Edmonton series really broke the Stars' brain for the pp it feels. They should just decline any powerplays going forward. Luckily, it seems they don't need it to win games for now.

Just works against the jets cause their top line is currently sleeping, they're haven't done much of ANYTHING lately. But yeah, the jets' PK sucks as well so that should bring the numbers back up a little

This is just frustrating as a jets fan. So close the last 2 games to at least a point, and just nothing. They had alot of games like that last year, which is concerning cause theyve got the same old habits. Also, i think their recent slump might be video worthy. The top line is just not connecting and sheifele is battling some kind of injury, the pp and offense as a whole is just gone it seems
