Around ~ue8, outer rims had npcs with working guns, and there was another mod call something like “Jedi trainer” that allowed you to deflect blast bolts significantly easier. That was probably the peak of enjoyment for blade and sorcery for me since playing from launch.

I absolutely love Vader Immortal, but I kind of hated how short your climactic battle with him was. My first time I thought I just beat him handedly, like making him take a certain amount of damage progressed the fight, then the second time I went out of my way to not hit him and the fight went just as fast.

The last version of the Outer Rim mod in blade and Sorcery that has blasters is the U9.3 version, in this case the U9.3 is a version of the game blade and sorcery, and it has a mod that leaves the sabers with the sounds more faithful to the original material which is the improved kyber crystals sounds in outer rim, it becomes very better the gameplay

Did you not play Tales From the Galaxy's Edge? it has Jedi lightsaber training, while sadly not as in depth as Vader Immortal it feels properly like Jedi training.

To give a bit of a rebuttal on your views of the lightsabers in Vader Immortal. You mentioned how they feel a bit light. If you think about it, that's probably how they would feel if they were real, especially since you probably can't feel the blade of a lightsaber like with a regular sword, which has weight to it. A lightsaber on the other hand is an energy blade. It doesn't have any weight on it with the exception of the handle.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure lightsabers were described in-universe as "heavier than they look", for sure in Clone Wars and maybe in Rebels too. Also I don't really remember specifics but i think that the blade is supposed to have some impact on the wielding experience, like how two blades attract each other or them having momentum in spite of lack of weight

@@sidlestone4575 I know what you're talking about. Though I feel like it has more to do with the handle in the case of a lightsaber. The only thing that would have any weight with a lightsaber is the handle. I don't know if you actually feel any weight with the blade of a lightsaber than with a regular sword, which has much more weight with the blade, hilt, guard, etc.

No lightsabers do have weight. If the blade was weightless than it would be difficult to use the standard sword techniques like they do with lightsabers in the movies. If the blade was weightless you could just swing it around frantically like a flash light with your opponent having no way of blocking the fast erratic movements.

Great vid! I actually worked on the sound design for the outer rim mod and let me tell you kingo is a seriously talented dev! He really nailed the feeling and weight of the sabers. I hope with the game's full release we can get blaster enemies again like back in U7.

Side note: if you're limited to the quest, team beef's vrmod for JKII is pretty incredible. All original force powers and saber throwing, drawing on the wall with your lightsaber etc. Highly recommended.

If not then I recommend checking it out It's lightsabers but if they were made into other weapons To daggers to katanas to scythes and sickles and even shields to maces and even a wolverine claw as well It's pretty fun but underrated

My main issue with blade and sorcery is that the npcs don’t really seem… reactive. Like, in this video, there were several times where you got up in their face and they just stared at you. Nine times out of ten, when I watch someone playing blade and sorcery, the npcs just kinda wait to die. And this might be an issue with the rest, but it’s kinda soured the game for me.

The newer versions of B&S have improved things but without a shield they practically have 0 defence. The challenging part of recording B&S videos aren't killing the enemies, but making it look cool & more like a fight.
