Interesting video. So many basses. I had two Holton TR-180's that I purchased new. One of them I kept until this past summer. Sold it for a little bit more than I paid for it back in 1975. I purchased an Edwards B-454 DE in early 2009 from a guy on eBay. I replaced the bell and slide on that horn with new ones that I picked out from the Edwards facility in Wisconsin. The original dual-bore Edwards slide is the one that I sold to you this Summer Aidan.

The only reason that I replaced it was for the cosmetics of the new one. I do really love the Edwards horn.

4:40 I'm pretty sure that Bach bell with the trubores was originally my horn. I sold it to a lady in California a long time back. Good horn.

Actually, I put that one together myself! I got the valves and other parts from different sources. I do know of another one though, could have been yours

Great video! Just a small detail, isn't it "Voigt" instead of "Voight" for the contra's rotors? Like Helmut or Jürgen Voigt I guess?

Around 1k. The price fluctuates, of course. 10 or 15 years ago you could probably find a nice 12 for like 500 bucks.

Did your Hoelle tuning slide always have a brace, or did yo have that put on?

Yes, always had a brace. They can be ordered either way.

@@AidanRitchie I know im a couple years late, but what do you think is the best trombone to buy new or used? Right now my top pick is the Adams TB-1 and the Adams Sonic, so are there any that you think I would like more?
