I know Mark Numare personally. He conducted my Mother's funeral while I was faded. And he said my mother was survived by my cousins even though I was there and was her only child. He did not mention me as a survivor of my mother's. That says it all.

This one really got to me. I was born with a disability called cerebral palsy. I understand the tragedy of being in an accident, and becoming disabled. But it is not the worst thing in the world. Yes there are bad days in fact I had a horrible day with it today. But I can guarantee I am a lot happier and have accepted my disability now thanks to being out of the organization but still seeing all the things I can do. That brotherly love they say we experience I have experienced unconditional love now that I’m not part of it.

Sam D, I'm glad that you're able to accept this part of yourself. Having a disability isn't an inherently good thing or an inherently bad thing. It may like a bit more challenging, but it doesn't mean that one is automatically exempt from leading a happy, successful, productive life. it's just a part of how some people are and is nothing to be ashamed of. It's disturbing how the Watchtower Society promotes this idea of people with disabilities being somehow supernaturally cured of their disability when they reach Paradise and then they'll be "just like everybody else because Jehovah didn't intend for people to be born with disabilities". Why kind of a message is that to send to people with disabilities?

@@b.w.7588 exactly! That never sat well with me! I went to a catholic service once for my nana and poppy when I was younger and I the priest like bowed to me and said something like in heaven you won’t have this. And I literally told him well what if I want my disability there? And he was baffled and had no idea what to say. My dad was mortified and started laughing. Like if Jehovah didn’t intend for us to have disabilities why allow people to be born with them? Or be in tragic accidents that result in them. Doesn’t make sense at all.

Going back quite a few years, my niece was out on field service with her mother and stepfather. She was 4 years old at the time. They started out together as a group, and my niece went along with some other witnesses. Unbeknownst to the group, her parents were involved in witnessing to an interested householder. An elder took her home and let her out of the car without checking to see if her parents were home. They weren’t. A young “worldly” couple found her crying on the doorstep. They walked to the house where the group had started out from, but the “sister” just told them the parents weren’t there and closed the door. They walked back to my niece’s home and her parents had returned. When her mother spoke to the elder who dropped her off, she was told that her child was her responsibility and that the society was primarily a preaching organisation. So the “worldlings” had more concern for my niece than anyone at the hall.

32:53 When I was 15 a married pioneer sister in my congregation was directed by the elders to befriend me and train me in the ministry, bc they felt my parents hadn't done a good job. I spent practically every day out in service with her on my school breaks, during the summer, after school, I even sat with her and her husband at the meetings and assemblies. We stayed very close until I was 18. Nothing bad ever happened, but it certainly could have. I was young and naive and away from my parents' protection.

The "love" amongst the brothers is very conditional. Yes, in general, they ( JWs) do go out of their way to "show love" to others is quite true. However, woa betide anyone who decides to leave the religion or makes any public critical remarks about the organisation. That "love"very quickly dissipates!!

The BIBLE is the most read and circulated book in the world but the FACT remains that all Mormons, SDAs, JWs, Baptists, Born Again Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, all kinds of Religions in the world even Atheists and Agnostics will never ever ACCEPT the Bible as the Word of God and source of Truths about the Creator's will and purpose for imperfect, suffering, and dying human beings. Imperfect, suffering, and dying human beings want and desire happy, long, and healthy lives and existence on earth but the FACT remains that all Mormons, SDAs, JWs, Baptists, Born Again Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, all kinds of Religions in the world even Atheists and Agnostics will never ever BELIEVE that ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3 and 4 is the loving, kind, and merciful Creator's favor and reward for all loving, kind, and submissive persons on earth who - 1. submit to the authority of Jesus Christ as the One given by the Creator all authority in heaven and on earth as written in Matthew 28: 18 and 2. believe the Good News of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" as written in Luke 4: 43 All human beings will just become worthless and useless dusts on earth after their deaths as written in Ecclesiastes 3: 19, 20 ; 9: 5, but the FACT remains that all Mormons, SDAs, JWs, Baptists, Born Again Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, all kinds of Religions in the world even Atheists and Agnostics will never ever BELIEVE that all loving, kind, and submissive worshippers of the Creator and believers of his Christ will not remain as worthless dusts on earth forever after their deaths, instead in the Creator's own right and proper time and as written in John 11: 25 and 26, Jesus Christ will resurrect them back to life including those who died even thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Naomi, Ruth, King David, the Christ's early disciples, and many others so that all loving, kind, and submissive human beings can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "Kingdom of God" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of the Creator and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Creator's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.

It’s always been hilarious to me to think that a spirit being floating out in the vastness of space used to have direct contact with humans thousands of years ago, apparently felt that was a lost cause and stopped calling, decided to pen an autobiography instead, and then would award the prize of everlasting life to whoever could decode his book the most accurately. Of course, everyone thinks ‘their’ religion has decoded it best. I’d like to think if there really was a god, he’s probably ROTFLHAO at Stephen Lett and his minions.

Good one!! That’s going to stay with me for sure! Always wondered what allowing thousands of years of suffering, war, mayhem and all the rest of humanity’s ills proved to this All powerful, All knowing being. The Bible says one God, one Christ, yet we have over 300 religions claiming to be the one true Christian church. The JWs are a vile and deluded cult that’s driven many of their number to rely on anti-depressants to get through life and many others to commit suicide due to being shunned. In actual fact, all religious mumbo-jumbo aside, NO ONE KNOWS why we’re here and what it’s all about.

As a JW of nearly 40 yrs in various shades of fadeness, one of the things that really irked me no end , even when I was fully in, was the constant never ending harping on how the ONLY career or job worthwhile that anyJW should aspire to was to be a full time pioneer( preacher) or at the very least, an auxilliary pioneer. This was seen as THE best career choice ANYONE could make.The JWs are encouraged to take any opportunity when on the train, tram, plane, bus, shopping, holidays, work and school to strike up a conversation and direct that conversation toward JW literature which I just happen to have here in my top pocket. Almost 100% of the videos and so called "real life" examples used for teaching were all 100% focussed on being a pioneer or some aspect of that- there was NO encouragement at all to take up any other possible career , trade , profession or education. No the only worthy course for anyone to take was to become a full time preacher and support yourself with the minimum level of paid work and hope that Jehovah will bless you with people mysteriously providing you with material needs ( as worldly people would often feel sorry for your predicament) but of course the reality was that I have known even some "hard nosed" JWs to ignore such "encouragement" and went on getting professional careers, trades and taking further education.

Always absolutely hated those convention programs where higher education was denounced and a parade of newly graduated students would come on stage to crow about their decision to go full time pioneering instead of going to college. The most disturbing of all were the occasional students who had disdainfully rejected scholarships in favour of a life of low paying menial jobs, living hand to mouth and being unable to stop working due to having no pensions. Those made my blood boil! And all the halfwits applauding this…. an obscene event at almost every large convention I attended. When I left I applied for college programs in preparation for the nursing program offered at my local college and never looked back. And of course suffered the ignorant verbal abuse of the JWs I’d known!

And that's to win 'Jehovah's favour'. Thing is, they already believe they have 'undeserved favour'; so if it's undeserved then surely it follows that no matter how hard you try, or don't try at all, you still have Jehovah's favour because it is undeserved. You get it whether you deserve it or not - of course, you don't deserve it, but you still get it anyway. So they are contradicting their own Bible again.

I was surprised to learn "the book of Enoch" was found in the dead sea scrolls. Religion again showing it's what they aren't saying as much as what nonsense they are saying. Why didn't the book make the cut in the bible? Who decided that it wasn't divinely inspired? If you read JW literature on the Nephilim it's clear they took some of the information out of this non-inspired book.

The fundamental basis of believing in the bible is that we believe that God/Jehovah had a direct influence in putting the the any number of many writings that would have been available and suitable to make up what we now have as "the bible" and as such, it was put together for a specific purpose guided not by men, but by holy spirit. If you dont believe that, then you might as well take up any old human philosophy and make that your mantra.
@rockpadstudios
@rockpadstudios Жыл бұрын
@@fifthdimension1984 If the stories were unique and had any text that we as humans could not have written; like the light speed is finite, the stars are not just stars but galaxies, then you would be able to say a God directed it (how hard would that have been?). We find parallels of the Jesus stories(s) - birth, miracles, and resurrections in many other cultures before he was even born. How many show a god bringing humans back to life, 100's (so old human philosophy to me). We know nothing of the men that decided on which books made canon, we know they weren't JW's and big surprise, it was about the time Rome chose to convert to Christianity. We now can see inconsistences in the M,M,L and J stories and one of the main characters never saw Jesus or any of his miracles, i.e. he had a vision and heard voices. What do we call people that hear voices today? Dream interpretations, speaking in tongues, protecting servants of god is no longer considered, why because it's to easy to disprove it now. If people can't decode Revelation they surely can't decode dreams, speaking in tongues is all but gibberish and those that do it admit it behind the scenes, and god has never protected his servants (that can be proved). Tony Morris said he saw angels protecting those in service but we know many all over the world have been killed in the preaching work (my ex-wife's dad for one) why didn't the angels protect them? Some died of infection from the water, why couldn't a God protect them from a virus? Tony Morris seeing angels was a story that was told to me 50 years ago and always by the same types of people, either the con artists at the top or the emotional ones at the bottom. I was told a mouse brought a piece of fruit to a JW when he was in confinement in WWII but again nothing we can prove. So he was saved but 1000's of others died, so why was that one person so special? The rope breaking in Texas when the brother was hanged was again a hoax, the man admitted he cut the rope. Unless you want me to believe it was God's hand. The average person doesn't want parlor tricks or amazing displays, we just want a logical reason to put our lives at risk for buffoons' like Stephen "lamb chops" Lett. You are saying Stephen "look at those little enemies of god" Lett is going to rule for a 1000 years! You say "holy spirit" then you believe elders are chosen by holy spirit, so my ex-wife's step father elder was chosen as an elder while he was molesting her as a child? That poor woman as abused all her life by JW's, her pioneer husband abused her until he died from alcohol related effects. Why is alcohol abuse, suicide, and domestic violence so prevalent in the true and only pure organization? You have heard the stories from Bethel right (Greenley the perv). My childhood was horrific domestic abuse and I still have the scars from it. I was held up by my hair in grade school in front of the class for not saluting the flag. Why did I have to go through that? The GB poked religion in the eye so they could fulfill a checkbox - you shall be persecuted. A few ounces of blood is worth more than a human life, a babies life, a husband with a wife and children, they need to die rather than take a few ounces of blood. That wife and children ending up like my ex-wife, abused by a vile man with a bible under his arm and a smile on his nasty face. The drunk Rutherford was the only person on the Earth that had decoded the mystery of the bible and was following it? His children hated him and for good reason, they grew up without a father just like many elder children do. Look, a world full of happy children is something I dreamed of, I will never experience that happy childhood but the thought that someday children will grow up loved and cared for was something I longed for, I ignored the hypocrisy believing in "Jehovah will make it right" and of course it all just got worse, the end never came. 1914 has come and gone, that means Jesus didn't take "his invisible throne", again it's true but we can't see or prove it but the bible tells us it's true. The enemy of a false profit is time. Voltaire said "more people are fooled by hope than by deceit". I do admit there is a big empty feeling when you realize it's a fraud but I hope god "if there is one" will give me points for not being gullible and following "heavens gate" or JW's blindly.

Starting at 1:00:30, Stephen Lett relays a very important Bible story about three Hebrew men who were spared a painful death in a fiery furnace when Jehovah's angel interceded on their behalf. As Lett pointed out, JWs are well advised to remember the names of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego so that they can greet these men when they are resurrected. As a youth, I attended a church summer camp where a minister offered a valuable memory aid which has helped me to remember the names of these three important historical Bible characters. With exaggerated gestures this minister recited the following from the stage: "Shake the bed, make the bed and to bed we go."

At 1:16:56 Job is mentioned as an example of how Jehovah rewards his faithful servants. Job ended up being physically abused by Satan after he lost all his material possessions and all 10 of his children were killed. Only Job's wife remained to taunt him. But Mrs. Job also suffered the loss of all her possessions and her 10 children, so she too was enduring a great amount of stress. The so-called happy ending to this story has always bothered me. Yes, all of Job's material possessions were eventually doubled, but his 10 children were only replaced. Did Mrs. Job give birth to fresh replacement children or were they a resurrection of the original kids? The Bible doesn't say.

That one bothered me too, right from the first time I read it. The children were repleased, like inanimate objects. That's a psychopathic view, objectifie people and think that they are replaceable (with other people) like objects. The mother of the children is not even on the radar of this "god." That says to me that the god of the bible is a psychopath. + All the commanded genocide, slavery, and faith testing in telling the father to kill his child and all the other bad stuff... But somehow, Jahwe is all loving and all-knowing. When he were all loving, he would not do this to Job and not command genocide. He would also not send a worldwide flood. If he were all knowing, he would not have to test the faith of anyone. He would already know who really believed and who not.

Considering he's walking around after being in a coma for five months after brain surgery, one can imagine the effort he had to put into his rehab. 55:00. Absolutely Lloyd! When I was growing up (1980s) it was the most common slur in the playground to call somebody gay. This is absolutely nothing specific to Jehovahs witnesses and completely irrelevant. As a Jehovah’s witness I was bullied precisely because I was a Jehovah’s Witness… funny how he didn’t mention that. Side note, when did the language change so that now fellow Jehovah’s witnesses always refer to each other as ‘the friends’?

Techtonic Hobbies, The JWs have been referring the global Witness community "the friends" for a while now. As if millions of people you don't even know can all be your "friend". That would be like me saying that Beyonce Knowles is "my best and truest friend", especially when she most likely doesn't know who I am or that I even exist. Being called "gay" as a slur should show JWs that anyone can become a victim of homophobia...even members of an already very homophobic Christian denomination like Jehovah's Witnesses.

While it is nice that this JW BROADCATING episode contained criticism of the unfair treatment that people with albinism are subjected to in many African countries, is it right to imply that all people who engage in spiritistic practices are violent or murderers? I would venture to guess that most occultists are peaceful people, for the most part. Many people in Africa see albinism as a sign that one is of a supernatural being in human form and sometimes upon their murder their body parts are sold to witch doctors. This is a horrifying but true-life phenomenon that exists in Africa, and I'd like to see it stopped. Many people who hold these beliefs are Christians, and some are not. The fear of and belief in the perceived power of witchcraft and demonic forces is a common belief amongst more fundamentalist Christians. As someone who has an interest in the occult when it comes to examining its impact on popular culture, folklore or objectively studying it as a phenomenon in the realm of social and religious belief -- it is not at all surprising that persecution based on superstitions surrounding Albino people continues to this day. Some witch doctors in Africa believe that albinos carry inherent magical abilities that when using albinos' body parts in their rituals, this power will bring positive benefits to the person seeking help from the witch doctor. Other folk see albinism as a sign that one has been "cursed by God" or that "they bring disease and bad luck" and are "really ghosts in human form that can be killed". Albinos are often shunned and treated as outsiders. Such beliefs are very old and may have some root in older African belief systems. You can have your beliefs, but that doesn't give you the right to go out and hurt others or deny them the ability to make a meaningful life for themselves, which many albinos in African countries find themselves being treated as if they were lepers and are denied educational opportunities. While it is nice that the Watchtower Society says people shouldn't be mistreated for albinism, and I most wholeheartedly agree; it would also be nice if they didn't imply that it is okay to make moral judgements towards people if they practice on a non-JW form of religion or if one is an LGBTQIA+ person who is open about and chooses to express their sexual orientation or their gender identity. I mean, how can you speak out against one form of prejudice while condoning another? That makes no sense to me. After all, you're not going to outright tell a practitioner of a non-JW religion or an LGBT person what you really think about them and how "they shouldn't even exist because God doesn't like them" as a JW, right? The New Independent Fundamental Baptists are at least more honest when it comes to negative attitudes towards non-NIFB religious folk or LGBT people, and they don't apologize for it or even try downplay their bigotry. At least their honest in their bigotry, and I give them credit for their honesty. Oh, don't get me wrong here, the NIFB are really hateful and nasty, and I don't much care for their rhetoric, nor do I like them -- but they still take ownership for their views, and I have to respect that honesty, even though I think their behavior towards other people is downright disgusting. Oh, and if someone tells you that you're being a "chicken" for not wanting to smoke, guess what? Just tell them you don't want to smoke and if that doesn't work, tell them to buzz off. And if someone accuses you of being gay because you're not romantically into someone of the opposite sex, your actual or perceived sexuality is no one else's business but yours. Even if you're a JW, you can still be a victim of societal homophobia even though you already belong to a homophobic Church that pretends it doesn't have any LGBT members. So, when you encounter someone who is LGBT and you're a JW, have a little compassion for LGBT folk the next time someone uses the word "gay" as insult towards you. A little compassion goes a long way.
