i got the AMR rv 3.1 tune... and never again! Has issues with the car and they ghosted me when I went back to them. My car was immaculate with only 8k miles a day perfect service history. Ef them, lots of horror stories online

Hi how's the car maintenance wise ? I currently drive the c300 2013 Love the car too much been really good to me...was thinking to upgrading to c400 or c450 ..

I've had a few scares with tires/wheel trouble, and the panoramic roof can be a nightmare, but I did the last service myself, and it wasn't too bad. I don't imagine maintenance cost being all that different from the C300.

@@joshua.sutherland c300 is no maintenance for me. I have had it for over 3 years now...May be I got lucky only front brakes and regular oil changes.

My front rotors were warped, so had to replace those, but was pretty straight forward. AMG wheels seem prone to cracking, which I experienced. Most the rest of the maintenance is all stuff that was to be expected. Fluids. Filters. Etc.

@@joshua.sutherland brakes and rotors depends on how you drive and where you drive. I dont drive much probably 2 to 3 days max..Yeh so anyways other than its regular maintenance. Have you ever owned ghibli before ?

$24,326. Most of the others that I looked at were closer to $28-$29k if I remember right, but most of those also had more options, and were being sold by larger dealerships.

I got this car back in 2016 and love it! One thing i dont like about it is the noise it makes when hitting the gas. after some digging I think it might be the waste gate or blow off valve. The noise is a subtle rattle type sound. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Have you considered the C43 AMG 4Matic Coupé?

Yes and no. The C43 has the same engine (more or less). It would be cool having the coupe package, but what I'd really like is a C63, or an AMG GT. Unfortunately, you lose the 4Matic option on both of those, until perhaps this next gen. BUT, if you're wanting a Coupe package, with the 4Matic, I think the C43 is likely a great option. Though I don't have any hands on experience, the C43 does come with more power out the gate, has the new 9-speed transmission, and it all has the AMG touch.

@@joshua.sutherland I use to own a 2014 C63, great car. Although my car had the actual 6.2l V8 not the bi-turbo V8 in the newer W205 generation C-class. Only complaint initially purchased it with the naive intent to daily. After dumping $400 in the fuel tank a month for a few months I ended up loving the car but also not loving that dismal fuel economy and the relatively small fuel tank. Ultimately I ended up buying a more reasonable daily driver 2013 high mileage Lexus GS AWD and kept the C63 a weekend car. With the pandemic going on having a C63/E63 mIght be more feasible if one works from home. But commuting in one everyday you’ll pile on mileage which depreciates these things harshly and overall maintenance, fuel, tire cost outweighs having a more simplistic second car for boring errands and snowy weather. I tip my hat to anyone who can truly daily a car that gets 12-17 mpg and only has a 16.5 gallon fuel tank after experiencing it first hand. Just my two cents.

I owned a '15 Mustang 5.0 right before this, and two V6 Mustangs before that, so I've been used to daily driving something on the lower mileage end, smaller tanks, and tires every 12-18 months. XD It definitely get's a bit brutal, but when it's one of your two real hobbies, it's not quite as bad. 9 Speed in the C43 does allow it to be rated at 27 on the highway. That's about 7 more than I average, but I also have a heavy foot.

That 3 liter twin turbo setup originated by bmw has been destroying v8’s for many years now just a baseline tune will give that thing 120hp and 150lb ft of torque

I have the exact same car but a 15 c300 4 matic . I just want to get the amg wheels like yours. I have the 5 spoke 18 inch amg wheel on mine.

The 14 spoke are definitely a nice wheel. However, having recently replaced one of them, they're also an expensive wheel. Guys at the tire shop turned me on to Asanti and Rohana. Quality, and much cheaper.

Do you still have this car? how do you think this 2015 c400 is worth it at 80,000 miles?

At 100k miles, I'm needing out of it. Too much of the car needs repairs. Sunroof is still busted, front CV half shafts need replacing, bunch of servicing needs to be done, and I think the lifters just started ticking. If I was willing to put $10k into servicing it, it'd be in excellent shape. But some of the issues I've had just want me out before the thing really blows up 😂

@@TopFindsReviews I've ignored most of the expensive maintenance. I did have two wheels crack. A replacement from Mercedes is $1200. I had one welded and the other I got second hand off eBay instead. The sunroof repair would be $3-$4k, and CVs are $4k, and the lifters are probably another $2k+. The wheels were the only thing I've dealt with though. Everything else hasn't been urgent enough to need to be fixed immediately.

For sure. Here's what I'd recommend. It will cost a bit more, but I'd probably look for one that is just getting off lease. Something with a good paper trail of maintenance. Find out if the sunroof has been repaired previously (doesn't guarantee it won't need it again, but I think it's worth knowing). Most regular maintenance (oil etc) I believe can be reasonably done yourself, and that helps keep costs down with any car. Where it gets dicey is if the sunroof goes out, or something like a turbo etc. I just saved several hundred doing a repair myself the other day. But, I could also easily spend 5k getting the thing back into mint condition.

You can with a stinger, which is a direct competitor, can’t however compare a budget bottom of the barrel economy car that fits a entirely different demographic:
